Picked this 7mm Remington magnum custom shop 700 ks mountain up in a trade and just don’t really want to jump into loading 7 mag. I think it’s setting in a bell and carlson medalist stock. 24” barrel with a deep sharp bluing. Have not shot it. Don’t know exact round count but with inspection of barrel and bolt face, it appears this rifle hasn’t been shot much. Stock and metal are both in amazing shape. 1100$ to your ffl[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]

B&C Medalist

I'm certainly no expert but the stock in the pics looks to be quite thin in the wrist. Could it maybe be something other than a B&C? Maybe a McMillan?
Remington sporter is incredibly similar but based on the stud placement I think it’s a medalist.

You should buy it and confirm. 😉

It originally wore a brown.
I pulled the barreled action, there isn’t a McMillan stamp in the barrel channel. I’m pretty sure it’s a bc, based of pictures of medalists I think 338 and AK are right.
If it was an 06 or a 35 Whelen, it’d have a forever home lol

Maybe if it was still in the brown!
Checkering looks like B&C carbolite

Carbelite has a distinctive pistol grip and more “teeth” on the checkering pattern. It’s pretty unique.

I have a late model B&C Carbolite stock. It is the exact twin to this stock. Checkering, pistol grip and thin wrist. Everything looks exactly the same. You stated you pulled the stock. Did it have an aluminum bedding block? If it didn't it wasn't a Medalist.
Nice rifle for certain. Always liked those mt rifles!
Looks like a Medalist to me…has a Decelerator pad.

B&C Carbelites are junk(at least the one I had was)and didn’t have Decelerator pads.
And as stated above the point pattern on the Carbelite checkering is/was different(had more points on both the grip and the forearm)than the stock on this Mountain rifle.

Will sell the barreled action with matte bdl floor plate, 900$ shipped to your ffl
Hmmm….

Between me and my hunting buddies we have 4 700custom KS mountain rifles… all have what I would call a parkerized finish and no BDL bottom medal.

The wood stocked variants wore BDL bottom medal and were blued but they were not custom shop guns. Are you sure that’s not what you’ve got?
His is an early KS and all correct; just missing the original stock.
FWIW all for of our KS’s are very accurate

2 338’s a 7 mag and a300wby.
X2 what Akwolverine said! I have a first year .338 KS
Please somebody buy this!!!! Nice gun.
1050$ for the complete rifle shipped
850$ for the barreled action shipped
Man, you're tempting me. I actually have a period correct 7 mm. mag. on a KS stock, but the action is not the correct custom shop action for the stock. You could buy my rifle and make 2 correct ones then! lol.
Or you could buy this one and have you a complete one!😁
Bump
800$ for the barreled action

Originally a synthetic or wood (I didn’t even know they made a wood variant)? As far as I know all synthetics were ADL, so it has been modified if it was originally a synthetic version.
Never wood; yes on the original stock being adl.

This is a ks barreled action in a new stock with bottom metal.
Nice rifle for sure. Wish I had a need for a 7 mag.
750$ shipped for barreled action

So it's an early KS and correct but without the KS Stock? The KS stock is what sets it apart. Otherwise it's just a M700.
He did post the markings.
Unique ks mag contour and supposedly premium or hand selected barrel.

But yep, the stock is what makes it.
I’ll take the barreled action, Colt. Pm incoming.
