Remington 700 mountain rifle chambered in 257 Roberts. It has been used but not abused. One of the more hard to come by mountain rifles. Has leupold turn in style rings and bases and a gloss Leupold 2-7 vari-xII. Wood and metal are in really good shape. The wood does have some handling marks but no cracks or deep gouges. Bluing is good shape, no rust or scratches, light spot towards the end of the barrel.
Plenty of factory ammo available to the buyer.
1700$ shipped in a Plano case, if you want insurance please specify

I have the same but with a Kahles 3-9x36. I can’t imagine a buyer who wouldn’t love this rifle after a season or two. Glwts.
Wow. These rarely come up for sale. It's at the top of the list of "You'll Never Be Sorry You Bought It."

Exactly what I had the Rem. Custom Shop build for me, but on a left handed action. If I shot right handed, I would buy this is a second. Someone's going to be really happy.
Remington hit a "Home Run" with the Mountain rifle design in the late 1980's! Its a short action .257R with a light profile 22" barrel at around 6-1/2 lbs.
What’s the date code?
