Mounted on one rifle and shot less than 200 rounds. Scope functions as new and no ring marks present. Manual, sun shade still in the original box. Sold the rifle, so scope can go as well.

Thanks Spence, I agree they are good scopes. This one has spent 99.5% of it's life in a temperature controlled gun safe as well.

Will Nikon warranty rifle scopes any more if there is a problem?

I did some digging and found this info on another forum: (I've never had to send in a Nikon product for warranty so take this info for what it's worth...)

From Nikon:

We wanted to make you aware of a change that will take place regarding Nikon Inc.’s Sport Optics product warranty program. After review, we have decided to make some program adjustments that will require changes to in-store, online and other marketing materials.

PROGRAM CHANGE: Nikon Inc.’s product warranty is changing from the current product warranty to the following:
Lifetime limited warranty for the optical system of Binoculars, Fieldscopes and Riflescopes;
Seven-year limited warranty for non-optical system components of Binoculars, Fieldscopes and Riflescopes;
One-year limited warranty for electrical components of Binoculars, Fieldscopes and Riflescopes.

The last I heard if they couldn’t repair the scope (which they are no longer producing) they would give you coupon good for a like value on one of their other products.
I have half a dozen Nikon scopes and have never needed warranty service.

Free bump for an excellent optic. I’ve got 3 of them and run them against my Nightforce, Schmidt and Bender, Swarovski and Tangent Thetas and they dial and repeat as good as any of them.

Thanks Killertraylor, it's a good scope and I've shot out to 700 yds with it on the 6.5 Creedmoore I recently sold with factory ammo.

Several questions and rumors that there is no warranty on Nikon rifle scopes. I called Nikon directly. 800-645-6687



Scope still has a lifetime warranty per the representative I spoke with. Not limited, not optics only, Lifetime warranty & I confirmed that with her to be certain.
