I want to buy a Winchester Model 70 short action in 223 for a trainer rifle.

Probably a 'G' series New Haven push feed, but I might consider a FN Police / Patrol 223 type with old style trigger (not MOA).

Preference is a nice used 'shooter grade' condition standard or featherweight, but would consider a heavier barrel. Barreled action would be fine too, as long as it's 223 bolt face and short action.

Thanks,
Tim

I have exactly what you're looking for. It was a push feed ranger model when I originally purchased it. It now resides in a compact feather weight stock. I still have the ranger stock as well. It is super accurate with 40 and 50 grain V Max pushed to the limit. Doesn't have that many rounds down the barrel based on the bolt face and the throat. But I was not the original owner. I think you would be more than satisfied with this.
PM sent to both Nessmuk & LSHopper, thanks!
