I purchased this used, unknown round count, less than 30 by me, shiny bore.
Locks up tight, minimal cylinder end play, appears to not been fired much.
Altamont Square Roper Target grips installed. Original grips included with screw.
Very accurate with the 158 grain JHP I fired thru it.
Has cylinder turn line and slight bluing wear at the muzzle - photos show this.

$825 shipped and insured, PayPal only

Personally I don't think you are. Just takes the right person seeing it.
Your price is very good, were I in the market for another 28, it would already be sold. Lots of cheapskates on this site.
Won't ever do PP.
Troutnut & Borchardt thank you for the info.
Very god price in condition described. A much overlooked N-frame which will stand up to a steady diet of 357 Mag ammo. GLWS
It is a very stout revolver and I probably should keep it.

carried one as a duty gun for years , bit heavy but built like a tank
Nice N frame. Bump!
Is it stamped Hiway patrolman on the bbl?
LBK

I’m not a historian on S&W by any means, but I thought all 28-2 had highway patrol stamped on the barrel.
Good price for a good revolver.

I have a couple they both are

Hank
It appears his is marked although its a little blurred. All I've ever encountered are stamped even a nib s prefix sitting in my safe
Any trade interests?
I really like 357’s and already have a Model 28, but this is very tempting. Note this is a pinned and recessed model S&W. It looks to be in great shape.

It should be stamped, but i couldn't see in the pictures. Just trying to make sure it really is what it is.

I did and thank you.
I own two of these and they are easily my favorite handguns by far. I've been successfully talking myself out of owning three of them but it's difficult to do considering the price.

Nice 28-2 based of sn made between 74-77. I bet 74 yours is only 30,000 of ahead mine and mine was made in 73. Whoever buys it getting a great pistol I love mine and it’s a shooter as well!
Thank you
I have had one for 40 years and it is on the level with Colts any day of the week. The N frame is a serious handgun for sure. Somebody will grab that and really enjoy it. I want it gone before I get the itch to have two.
I can include this handmade custom holster for $65.

Now your making this really tough.
Pinned and recessed make this one extremely desirable. It will only appreciate.

Mine was made in 1978. Sweet Revolver!!! - T.S.

If you have been looking for one of these it would be hard to find a nicer one for the money. Have a 4” already and I am still tempted….

This would have sold long ago if it wasn't PayPal only.

My favorite smith. I’ve shot mine so much it’s a wonder it’s not a smoothbore.
