I have a Savage 99F in .308 Win for sale. Overall the rifle is in good condition. Based on the serial number I believe it was made in 1962.

The stock has been shortened and a vented recoil pad added to make the LOP about 12.25 inches.

It comes with Weaver bases.

I haven't shot it recently but the old targets I looked at showed it shot decently with 150 grain bullets.

Price is $775 shipped to your FFL CONUS.

Payment by USPS Money Order.

Nice rifle! My first 99 was a .308 from the same era, acquired when I was 15. It grouped 150-grain Winchester factory loads into around an inch....

Thanks John! This rifle shoots pretty well with factory ammo too.

I shot my first buck with my grandfather's 99 308. Free bump for a great hunting rifle.

Here's the other side. There are no cracks in the stock.

I like everything about that rifle except the shortened LOP….I need 13.75”- 14”.

I've used the rifle with a slip on Limbsaver recoil pad which adds an inch to the LOP. This works well for me, but everyone is different as far as gun stock fit.

What is the length of pull to the end of the wood (without the current recoil pad)?

I agree this is a nice looking rifle,
Posted By: bowmanh Re: Savage 99F for Sale - 03/31/23
The LOP to the end of the wood is 11 inches. There is a black and a white spacer between the wood and where the pad starts. If those are included it's 11.25 inches.

I don't know. The rifle was given to me by a friend about 15 years ago. I've probably fired less than a hundred rounds through it. It's in good shape though, so I doubt it's been used heavily.
