Base charge is $65 which includes return shipping. This is for the lower 48 using UPS. Add $35 extra for Alaska and Hawaii. They will be shipped USPS

If the stock is a Bell and Carlson, H&S, or other higher priced stocks the charge will be adjusted to reflect the increased insurance cost. Typically $3.85 covers up to $300 in insurance. $6.75 covers up to $500.
I'd you want the old finish completely removed the base fee is $30. That covers most of the jobs I see. If it’s a finish that has gone sticky: $50 and there are no guarantees. That’s how bad they are. Whatever has made them go sticky often affects even the gel coat on fiberglass stocks.
They are a nightmare.
If it's a target stock with moving and or removable parts add $10

Please pull sling studs and recoil pads if possible. I've seen recoil pads glued on the fibreglass stocks. I’ll tape those off.

I use an automotive plastic adhesion enhancer on the plastic stocks along with good chip resistant paint that has a seven day full cure time.
Chip resistant..... Not chip proof. American, German and Spanish suppliers.

I use clear coat also. Clear coat choices are: flat; matte; satin; gloss.

Single order: $65
Multiple orders:
Two stocks $115
Three stocks $160

Up to two spider web colors: no extra charge.
Speckle / spatter paint add $5

Spider web colors available are: black, white, silver, gold, red, blue, pastel green/teal, yellow, copper and grey.
All prices include return shipping and basic insurance.

If anyone wants to share some feedback, good or bad, on their stocks please post it here. Feel free to share pictures. I've had good feedback from folks here and I appreciate that very much.
I've only had one failure of the paint. It was on a Hogue camo dipped stock. It would hold paint at all. I fully refunded the members money.
I painted a plain black Hogue stock for a member and haven't ever heard back as to how it’s held up.

Can you do a sponge camp?
It's just a matter of color choice. So, yes I can do sponge camo.

Shipping update:
Well I've lost both my postal priority mail discount and my UPS discount...... Thanks to politicians.
Here's the new deal. I'm not paying $30 to ship a stock.
USPS still offers GROUND ADVANTAGE. That's the old PARCEL POST. Using that might take a day, or two extra in transit, but I can mail insured in MOST cases for $15, or so. That includes $100 free insurance.
If you live in either Eastern, or Western time zone or might cost a little more. I'll do some estimates based on LA and NYC.
If you're stock needs more than $100 then simply add $5 to shipping costs.
It may not be too bad. I've seen packages more just about as fast using Ground Advantage as priority mail. I've yet to see them make three day priority shipment from anywhere.....
If you ship to me use Ground Advantage.....USPS
Can you do the multi-green and red USMC type woodland camo pattern, similar to the M40A1?
Leave off the tan and use more medium od green.

John Boy painted a stock I sent him, and I received it back quickly. It looked great. Communication was great! I knew what I was getting, painted stock of picture was sent to me so I could approve paint job and not be surprised. I would recommend his services to anyone. Thanks John!

Can you do this with brown and black over a base and majority being tan? Something along the lines of ASAT?
Tan base with black and brown?
Sure. Piece of cake….

Do you have any multicam experience?
Multicam is actually a hydro dip process. A glorified decal.....
They're good, reasonably wear resistant, but much more expensive to apply. With my time and labor ( not even counting the new nozzles required ) the job would be more expensive than the hydro dip multicam.

Have you got a FJB edition?
??????
Always nice to check this thread and see some pics John. You work has been holding up just fine here in Alaska.
Thanks for the feedback. I'd love to hear more, good or bad.
He did a vanguard stock for my daughters rifle 4-5 years ago and it still looks new. Whatever paint/process he is using holds up very well.
John,
Are these 2 tan stocks painted with the same base color? or is the top stock a little darker tan and the lighting a little different?

I have a couple of stocks I'd like to get you to paint, I will be sending you details here shortly
Thanks
