I've got one of these and I also have a couple of VX5hd with the firedot. The firedot part of this scope looks the same as those to me and I really like the freedom line, have a few other models of those too and think they are a great value.

I agree. I compared one of these against a VX6, and a Kahles. I am impressed with the Freedom line.
I ordered one on a whim and was blown away with the clarity vs. the price point. Add the Leupold forever warranty and it really makes these scopes attractive.
