$1095 shipped and insured from my FFL to your FFL

This S&W 627-5 Performance Center 8-shot .357 w/locking case is in excellent condition and functions perfectly.

I bought it used and fired about 80 rounds through it when I first got it, but I haven't fired it since. I want to get something I'll shoot more, and Mrs. Waders says that any new purchase will be funded from the "Gun Budget" not the "Household Budget." Here I am...

The gun will come with 3 sets of grips:

(1) The wood grips that are on it. I've don't know who makes them and have never had them off the gun.
(2) A second set of wood grips made by Ahrends Grips in Clarion, IA.
(3) A 1-piece S&W rubber grip module.

The gun also comes with 4 speed loaders: 2 are Speed Beez ($39 ea, new on their website) and 2 made by 5-Star ($25 ea, new on their site).
I will also include a Speed Beez double speed loader pouch ($30 on their site).

The Bads:
(1) There is a small scratch on the back of the gun. It's hardly visible, but it's there. (See pic, below)
(2) The hinged case doesn't stay open. I think it was designed to, but you have to hold it open as you take the gun out.

This pic shows the small scratch on the back. It's not this visible typically, but I made sure I caught it in the right light:

The ammo in this picture is NOT included:

This gun will be listed on another site and will go to whomever takes it first.

The gun is located in western Washington. If you're in the area and want to shoot it, just let me know, and we'll make it happen. If you're a serious buyer, I'll provide the ammo. If you're not a serious buyer, I'll still provide the ammo, but maybe you could spring for coffee when we're done at the range.

Please message me with any questions. Thanks, fellas!
Really nice. Is that a 5 1/2” barrel?

Believe those came in 4”, 5”, or 6”, don’t they? Maybe just 4” and 5”…
Looks to be a 5" barrel.
The 2nd pic answers another question I received.

Very nice
That’s a nice one…GLWYS
Those 8-Shooters are great revolvers!

They are 5” barrels and you can also use them with S&W or Brownell’s “moon clips”, too.
Mine was very, very accurate.

Ole Jerry Miculek used one to set a new world record of 8 shots in 1 second!

Both sets of your wood stocks are Ahrends, just two different styles. GLWS

Bump for a Very nice piece.
What is the age of this gun? I though these were current/recent production but that box looks like the older style.

I wish I knew. I cannot find an online resource that will provide a date of manufacture based on serial number.

The one I have is NOT of the most recent manufacture. As you have pointed out, the current 627's don't come in the aluminum case. Nor do they have the brass bead in the front sight--the current models have a ramped front sight with the plastic insert. I don't believe S&W currently makes a blued version of this gun, either. I don't know what the other differences are, but as I understand it, the current guns are cheaper for S&W to make which allows them to sell them for less. If they had to produce this gun again, it would be priced higher than the current models. But...that is coming from the guy who is selling the gun--I might be biased or flat out wrong.
Up for a good dude!
Price? I didn't see a price.

Very first line of the ad. It kind of blends in with the title and is easily missed.
UPDATE: I have received a couple inquiries about the finish on this gun. It is a black finish that I just assumed was factory. It might be an aftermarket nitride or a cerakote. The sides of the barrel are lighter than the rest of the gun. I spoke to the guy who sold it to me, and he said that he bought it used as well and that's how he received it. Anyway, I don't want to mislead anyone. Please feel free to ask further questions! Thanks!
Bump for a good guy!
From the pics I assumed SS
From the pics I assumed SS but must be nitride
Not nitride. They would have do the whole barrel , I am pretty sure this is a spray and bake finish, aka cerakote etc…, as they left the sides of the barrel exposed stainless.

Still a nice gun with a lot of extras.
ya you're right .
and you're right , very nice package

I carried a N frame 28 in LE years ago, sure wish I had 8 shots !
This is SPF.

Thanks everyone--especially those that helped me sort out what I had.
Follow-up to mention that Waders is exceptional to deal with- among the very best!

The 627 is pretty decent as well; its winter role is testing out .38 handloads (no .357 allowed in the range).
