SKB went out of business. The new SKB isn't related. Am I wrong on this? As I said before, this is the best looking Ithaca SKB I've seen.

CORRECTION: Looked them up. The new SKB sells Turkish guns, but bought the parts and services the old Japanese SKB's.

Support still exists for the Ithaca imported SKBs. From SKB's website:

Most gunsmiths are experienced in shotgun repair, please contact your local gunsmith for repair services. If you do not have an experienced gunsmith in your area, we do provide most gunsmithing service on SKB models. This includes SKB manufactured shotguns imported by Ithaca Gun Company, Mitsui & Weatherby.

Either my memory or eyes are failing or both, but this is actually an Ithaca 600 and not a 500. That actually may account for the nicer wood. My apologies for the confusion.
