This rifle was purchased from the estate of a Pennsylvania gunsmith who built a lot of Mauser sporters. The bore is like new, the bluing is high gloss, and it was built on the sought after 1909 Argentine action made in Germany by DWM. I believe the twist is 1:9 and the wood is very nicely figured. It has a Bold trigger/safety, is drilled and tapped with filler screws, and has sharp checkering.
I don't think it was shot much if at all. The iron sites are very nice with one folding leaf. I would gladly take specific pictures of anything you would like to see and will answer any questions as best as I can. Feel free to PM me.

$1000 plus shipping to your FFL or we can meet in person if you're in western PA

Can you tell us what is the LOP?

Also, any idea which scope bases that would use?

Oops, looks like those were already asked…

Thanks,
Tim

LOP is 13.5", weight is about .3 lbs more than my Mannlicher Schoenauer 1903 - this Mauser weighs about 7.3 lbs. on my kitchen scale (Though I would have thought it was lighter by the way it carries), bore is bright, shiny, sharp rifling - I'd call it very good to excellent. Barrel length is 18.5", and pad is a Decelerator. As for scope mounts, I think Weaver 45M and 46M bases would fit or any other mounts with that spacing pattern. Center to center the rear bridge holes are approx .5" and the front are 7/8". I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I, would know exactly what would fit. I think that's all the questions that were asked.

A gentleman asked for additional pictures of the rifle and I'm posting them here. My fancy-outside-in-the-sun pictures kind of gave the appearance than the shinier parts were scratched. I'm not very good at taking pictures of glossy reflective objects unfortunately. Hopefully, these pictures clear that up.

I'll be meeting 1 or possibly 2 local gentleman to look at the rifle tonight or tomorrow FYI.

I appreciate the kind comments that everyone had posted.
That's a very good price for an outstanding rifle. I don't think I need a 4th 7x57 though!

Am sure the first guy who sees it in person will start peeling off $100 bills.
I sent you a pm to take it if your local doesn’t.
Dang that is sweet.
One of the finer looking rifles on here in a while.....
PM sent. If current deals fall through, I'll take it.
$1000 wouldn't touch trying to build this today....
I was thinking $2,000 would have been a reasonable price to ask.
I agree.
$1000 is bargain for this rifle
Nice!!!

Sorry guys!

The little carbine looks even better in person. Very fine work. Definitely built by a skilled Smith.

Fallschirmjaeger is a solid dude as well. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to do business with him.
Thanks Mauser you're a standup guy as well and thanks for everyone's positive comments.
