I’ve got a dozen or so gun boxes in my garage, mostly from the 1990s: Remington 870 Wingmaster, Ruger 77/22 and No. 1, Winchester 94/22, among others. Do these have any value, or can I just send them to recycling? In most cases the guns they held are gone.

I hope they have some value because I have been storing some since the 70's. I just can't bring myself to throw anything away.
Not like some of the Smith revolver boxes and shipping them is a pain but 'm sure they'd be valuable to someone

Pm sent on boxes
They are worth way more than you think.Do a search on Ebay factory empty rifle boxes .It really depends on the box,but some fetch a high price.
Shipping costs put a damper on worth
They sure don't hurt the value of a rifle when selling. I have a bunch in my attic that I considered dumping but its hard for me to do. At least right now.
I wish you were not so far away. I’d snag the 94/22 box in a heart beat!
