Personally, I'd like to see all of the whiners booted before the morons/cheats. At least the morons/cheats are entertaining.

I've done countless deals on the campfire and elsewhere on the net. I've had a few minor gliches but 99.999% of the deals I've done have gone smoothly. To be honest some of the most friendly and most honest folk are here on the fire.

Put a few minutes and keystrokes in to getting to know your prospective buyer/seller and you will rarely be dissappointed. The search function is your friend. Make sure you know what your getting and the buyer knows what he's getting. Don't sugar coat it and throw some extras in the box.

"Caveat emptor" is the operational slogan. 99.9% swindle free is a damn good testament to the caliber of the people who frequent here.

I have never had one issue with the classified's. Everybody Ive done business with has been awesome.

I sold 3 items this week and every person got there item before I even received my check. Just like secondstoryguy {strange name} said, "put a few minutes getting to know the buyer/seller".

This classified section is here to stay. If you can't handle a little heat from other members, go bake a cake and do your nails.

I love the Classifieds but time to time it becomes a whistle blowing whining section. I say wimps and whiners move on and keep this the "CLASSIFIEDS" not the bitchin section! If I ever whine this much PLEASE somebody shoot me!

Reminds me of a "there's a $5 fine for whining". I've done a ton of transactions with no issues. Course I don't do layaway.

Smokey, I am with you, but what do you do about it?? I work for a city government and talk about "people" getting ripped off! Rick does a fantastic job with this site and that's why it's so extremly popular. My only suggestion has always been to have sellers list at least their state of residence. I usually send an email to the seller before I send funds so that I have an IP address (that is easy to track for law enforcement). That way if something should go wrong, I can at least find the location from which the email was sent to me.

I would like to see a Feedback forum for the classifieds instead of the "Good Guy" list. That would keep the whiners off the classifieds and provide a place where you could document a bad experience with a member.
