What your looking for is a left handed safety, correct? I have a couple but can't let them go for the foreseeable future.

Try numrich gun parts, wisiners and such that have been in business awhile. Call around and find gunsmiths who have been working a long time, or like wise gunshops. Never know what you'll find, or maybe get lead toward. Maybe a search for smiths specializing in shotguns.

I'm the friend, and yes, the issue is with the Safety. Remington will sell an entire Trigger Assembly, obviously a bit more parts than I need and quite a bit more money. What would it take to bring that foreseeable future into view?

midway was selling a left handed safety for the right handed 870. don't know if they still do.
