I like my pair had them for several years now but my RB800's use a CR123 lithium battery. Might be 9v never checked the voltage on the batteries. Only problem I have with them is I can't get an accurate reading on pronghorn past 300 if it is a very bright and sunny day. Keep thinking I'll upgrade to a lighter bino and Leica 1200 but never seem to.

Good deal on them I paid quite a bit more for mine back in 05.

This is a screaming buy for somebody. They sold new for around $650-$700. I have a set and they are crystal clear and the range finder works very good. Beats carrying a range finder and binos! They don't weigh much more than a decent set of binos.

FWIW, I have a pair of these and think that they work quite well. Mine use an Energizer 0710A battery. I've never had it run low on power, but I put a fresh battery in for pdog shooting starting in May and again for deer hunting in November.
