This is the 5th rifle in the Lipsey's Exclusive series with walnut stocks on stainless. The 1st 4 sold out and are not often found on the secondary market. It has taken 2 and a half years to get this long awaited .250 Savage in a Ruger No.1 from Ruger.
If you have ever wanted a No.1 in the .250/3000, better get one, as when these are gone, they will not be easy to find the second time around. $975 shipped to your FFL; if you are a Texas resident, we will have to deal with the Sales Tax issue.
Thanks,

How about some pictures?

Have you fired it?

Is it accurate?
Craftsman,
The K1A's I have are New in the Box. I have not shot one.

Personally I think selling a #1 without a photo of the wood is like trying to sell a mail order bride without the same.

Uno you outta be ashamed of yourself for having all of those #1's. Been meaning to come over to the ranch to see you. Iwas impressed with your beautiful place and kind hospitality. powdr

P.S. Hot enough for you?

A couple of photos are worth a lot of typing.
Texas - don't know how you can put up with the weather.
Powdr,
Good to hear from you again!
Anyone that wants a photo, I can send you one in an e-mail. Posting on here is one level above my job grade. It is challenge enough to get a pic taken and get it off the camera and on my computer. My wife just got an iPad and that is a bit easier!
I just take a picture and e-mail it to myself!

I can assure you he is a straight shooter and class act. I purchased one and others from Lee. I wished I had a few extra days at the conclusion of teaching Municipal Fire School at AA&M as I surely enjoy visiting with El Numero Uno down at the old Cow Creek ranch! Buy with confidence!

I have handled a K1A in .250, it is a light, handy little rifle smile The wood was plainer than these, though.

Has anyone shot one of these Number 1 250's to see how they group?
Posted By: PennDog Re: Ruger K1A in .250 Savage - 08/03/11
bea175:

Mine averaged slightly under 1" @ 100yds with "my" standard 250-3000 load (38.7g of WW760 and 100g Nosler SBBT - old design). This was for three three shot groups.....seems like it is a shooter grin......as are all the recent Rugers that I've purchased (77 Hawkeye in .350 RM, 77 RSI in .257 Roberts, and a No. 1 in .45-70). Mine is relatively "plain" in teh wood figure department but does have a little (not nearly as nice as soom I've seen on this site!)

I haven't shot the 250 but I had one of the Lipsey K1A's in 6.5x55 and it shot 1" groups with Remigton factory ammo.

Lee,

PM me when you get time...I sent a few your way.

I will TAKE the rifle pictured on bottom if available!
OK; one left. It is the one on top of the photo. If you want one of these .250 Savage No.1's, better get it now, as I think very few of them will show up later!

LEE...you might want to float that last one on the SAVAGE COLLECTORS thread...not a Ssvage, but clearly the best SAVAGE caliber ever produced!

TTT for a good guy!
