Gun is in good condition. Damascus Steel barrels. Double triggers, double hammers. Minimal rust, no exterior pitting. Wood has usage marks but nothing major. Bore is clean with some minimal pitting.
This is a collector's item for sure! Stamped between the barrels just above the bore is "L.C Smith Maker, Syracuse, N.Y. Stub Twist". "L.C. Smith" is stamped on both sides of the action. Underside of the forearm is stamped with the serial number and "PAT'D JUNE.1-80". Bottom end of butt has a hunting dog carved into it. This is either a first run Baker Hammer Gun or quite possibly a prototype! Worth every bit of my asking price of $1250 shipped......valued at twice that as far as I can tell from my research. If you'd like to do FTF transaction please contact me by message and I'll give you my phone number and location.
