For sale: a French-made single shot 22 rifle. This gun has the cocking piece on the back of the bolt but actually cocks on closing the bolt. No safety; barrel, action, and bolt are marked "AR St. Etienne," otherwise known as MAS. Ejection is accomplished by pulling back smartly on the bolt, and the lower half of the split chamber retracts and serves as a shell carrier; a unique weapon... Front sight block is threaded at the muzzle for suppressor I suppose, but threads are not standard 1/2"x28 tpi. Thread protector included. This gun is serialized and accurate. Wood is 90%; metal is 80% and had some surface corrosion that was touched up with cold blue. $115 shipped to your FFL. Pay any way you like, but PayPal plus 3% and credit cards plus 3.5%. Fastest response by private message, and a PM "I'll take it" trumps thread posts. Thanks for looking.

That would be a trainer from the MAS factory in Saint Etienne France.
I have a bolt action on a full size, full weight action/stock.
mine came with a peep sight from the factory and is very accurate, but almost boring to shoot.
Load, aim. shoot bullseye, repeat several time till bored.

Might check...think most of the euro guns are threaded 1/2" X 20 TPI

Right. Found the manufacturer in the blue book today. It's listed in there under French Military as MAS, which I'm sure stand for Manufacteur d' Armes St. Etienne. A fine training weapon, for less money than a Crickett/Chipmunk, and better still cocks on closing...
PM I`ll take it sent.
