Hello all. I have a vintage Anschutz 1712 FWT (Featherweight) .22LR with an original factory black McMillan Stock that I would like to sell. Built around the classic 54 action, this rifle is used but in great shape(I would call it 95%+). There is a very slight amount of wear around the forward edges of the trigger guard, the black finish is worn on the front action screw, and the bedding in the tang area appears to have been neatly blackened in by a magic marker(see pics). It shoots very well and the trigger is spectacular. Included are two factory original Annie mags, Warne Bases and Rings, and the original instructions/test target in it's plastic pouch. The scope is NOT included. I don't know the round count as I bought it used a while back but judging by the signs of use it appears to be relatively low. I've put a few hundred rounds through it to sight in and test. $1425SOLD-Thanks shipped to your FFL via USPS in a hard plastic case. I live in the Austin,TX and would be willing to discount the price and drive to meet if someone wants to do a local deal. I love this rifle but it's a little too nice to do the things with it I would like to do. You can contact me via PM or at [email protected]. Thanks, SSG

2-stage trigger?
This one feels like a single stage(no take up).
Post it over at steel chickens forum and I bet it sells within the hour.

What steel chicken do you refer? I googled the forums and one of the top two links (or both, opened them both) gives a nasty virus. Just got on to warn people, I fortunately have recovery software on my computer.
The wedsite is steelchickens.com - go to the forums and there is one for selling items. I'm very tempted to buy this but what would I do with a fourth? Also, please note that this rifle has the wing type safety and in my opinion is a much better product that the sliding safety on the newer rifles. I've had both and like the wing safety version better, mainly due to the tigger. Best of luck with this great rifle.....
very nice ,
Weight?? Is this the early one that made the 7 1/2 # weight limit? I have the same rifle but it has a leaded forearm. I took out enough lead to be legal for silhouette.
The rifle has been sold. This is the early model for the 7.5LB weight limit. I know I'm going to regret this!
Yep!! You are. Take it out, knock it around, it will still get the job done nicely, and will keep getting worth more every year. Am I making you feel bad yet????????? LOL 1712's are over 2 grand now
