A buddy of mine has a really nice Tikka 595 Continental 22-250. Gun is in great shape and has what I think are the optilock bases and rings. What would be a good value on this thing. I would say its 95%. Beautiful gun
I would say around $250.
How would you like payment??

(LOL)just Kidding.
those are really nice rifles ,,should bring a nice price also!
Nice guns. That model has the bull barrel I believe. I'd say $450 or so.

PS. I've got the same gun except the model 695 in .270. Most accurate gun I've ever owned.
When you see them on GB (rarely) thet go for $650 ... They don't seem to last real long either.

Are you buying...or will it be for sale ?
i have a 695 and picked out 595 and 558 for other friends, and am always watching out for them. i concur w the 650 estimate.
i have one in a 17 remington and I agree on the 650-700 dollars range according to condition tho.
My friend was wanting me to find a good price on it. He was thinking $600 with the bases and rings. Sounds like he is pretty close.
I just picked up a 595 in 243 win with a leupold vari-x ii on it for 700. It is a blur barrel with synthetic stock. I felt I got a pretty good deal. Very few people in MS seem to even know what a Tikka is. I have a couple 695's but have never seen a 595. It was in great condition so I grabbed it up.
If you can find one in descent shape under $650 with a fairly low round count you better not pass it up. They are getting very hard to find. Both of these were purchased in the last two years. The .223 (farther)was good condition with no box or paperwork and a cheap scope for $650. Other is a 22-250 with the most beautiful wood I've seen on a Tikka with box, paperwork, and lower quality scope in mint condition for $800. Both had round count under 200 and will clover leaf holes @ 100 yards all day long. Scopes have both been changed to a Pentax and a Burris 6x24x44.

webfoot56, Do you know if the Tikka Continental Varmint in 17 Remington was the only model that Tikka offered in the US in the 17? Any chance you have a picture of that Tikka 17 Remington?
I see this one just listed on Armslist - Tikka Model 595 .223 heavy barrel varmit with bushnell 6x18 scope. Very slight muzzle wear $800
