I took this in on trade for a rifle I built for one of my customers. It is a savage model 112, 22-250. He said it has had less than 500rds thru it and it was a good shooter. I dont need it so im going to sell it. I would like to get $575.00 shipped obo, rings and bases shown are included. The only mark on it is on the butt which I tried to show in a pic. The trigger has been set to 3 lbs and feels good.

In the last pic it looks like rust on the barrel but it is not, the barrel looks good im not sure why the pic turned out like that.

If you have any questions or would like more pics, please let me know.

Thanks

One more time around. Make an offer, offer up a trade. The worst I can say is no.

Dave,

In the interest of the savage nuts (no pun intended) it appears to be a long action. Does the blind mag have a spacer, or did they use a LA mag and adjust the lips?

Also, with the newer model stock, stainless barrel, blue flat rear action, and stainless bolt handle on an old style bolt, it appears to be a custom build. Is it a factory barrel? And can you tell what type of trigger its sporting?

Given the stock and the action, this is prime fodder for someone wanting to make a decent LR or varmint build.

Being left handed its a non-issue for me, but the package is ripe for parting and customizing.

Thanks RWE. Actually it is a singleshot action. I didnt put it in the post until it was to late and would let me. The rifle is all factory and exactly the way it came from the factory except for the trigger job.

That's a heck of a factory package. I do get a kick out of the Savage end of run guns. The mix and match gives it some character, but the single shot older action makes this one a peach.

If I still had my account at savageshooters up to date, I'd post it there for you.

Even for lefty's, keeping your trigger hand in the control room and operating the bolt with the free hand would still be great for single shot duty.

But I must remain strong. Still have a project to finish..

With that long, single shot action, this would make a perfect switch barrel rig. Good thing my gun budget is low or I would have to jump on it.
