Assembly weighs 7.5 lbs on my bathroom scale

This one actually came on my LR-308 and has been fluted and recrowned by my gunsmith; couple of minor surface nicks

I bought an 18" Lite Barrel hunting upper assembly, better for my intended purpose

DPMS price is $814 plus shipping, currently 6-8 month lead time

I didn't save a target, but it shot about 1"@100 meters with Black Hills Match 175 gr. in my lower which has a Timney trigger installed

No FFL transfer required

Does it include the bolt carrier group?

Yes. 'Upper Assembly,' at least in DPMS terms, is the complete replaceable group - barrel, forend and bolt group. Just take one off by front and rear pins, as for cleaning, and put the other on.
