Winchester Model 70 Classic Stainless 7mm-08 New Haven mfg with a 24" Sporter weight barrel bedded in a B&C stock. I picked this up when I was suffering a bout of Classic Stainless fever. I am now culling the herd and this one has to go. I am going to call this one 90%-95% overall. The stock is near perfect. Talley Rings. Pictures show the good and the warts I can find. $800.00 shipped. Shipping from a non FFL to an FFL. USPS money order.

Is this a 2 piece bottom metal w/ spacer or the one piece? How does it group?
One piece bottom. I bought this and have to admit I never shot it. This is a case of so many guns so little time. The balance of this one is superb.
Any chance you have one just like it in 30 06? This is a hell of a nice rifle...
bump for a very nice rifle.
baxterb,
Thanks for the comments. Cannot help you with the 30-06. I have a Featherweight '06 that I bought in 1998 that is patiently waiting for a new Mc Edge that I ordered in December. I hope you find one, they are out there.
That is real nice! What is the LOP and where is the balance point? Also, what does it weigh in at? Thanks!!
gehrm,

Thanks.

LOP 13.5"
Balances as shown with rings is at front action screw.
Weight: No scale available to verify weight at this time. I'll have to get back to you.
I'm curious if you bedded this in the B&C or it came that way...and if you have the original stock?
The Rifle action was bedded when I purchased it and was nicely done. Original "tupperware" stock is long gone. The current stock is perfection as far as I am concerned.
Would make a great 284 win donor.
What am I missing here? Why has this not sold yet? Great gun at a great price.

Very nice rifle. I wish I had the coin for this one. The 7mm/08 is nearly perfect for whitetails here in Kentucky.
I put it together and it's a very accurate rifle. Like the OP I just had way too many.

It's lighter than that.
Not to start anything, but I bought and put the exact stock except in tan with black web on my 7mm wsm, and it weighed between 29 and 30 oz. Overall, I believe it is a nice stock.
Weekend bump
Thought this one would have been gone by now!
WW, where are you located in KY ?

I am going to walk this Rifle around at the Louisville FairGrounds Gun Show on 4-20. If you are interested in meeting to give it a once over let me know.
