Reluctantly offering my NULA. Alas, the tax man is killing us this year. Got the bad news from my accountant this week. (I'll be listing other goodies soon.)
This is a very fine short action lefty rifle; light, smooth; and accurate is an understatement.
It has been hunted but is in great shape.
I've averaged .50 moa with virtually any factory ammo. Hot or cold barrel it always shoots the same.

I get 13.75" with LOP, douglas #1 in CM. 2002 build date.
Action and trigger is butta' smooth at about 3 lbs.
Barrel has approx 200 rounds, 98%. Stock is beautiful and typical Melvin Forbes quality. Excellent ULA pad (pic shows some trail dust on it, but it is very nice.)
About 5lbs even naked. 5'15oz with a vx3 36mm on it.

Scope is in excellent condition, VX3 2.5-8X36mm with duplex reticle; may have ring marks, I haven't removed it.
Scope not offered separately.
Target is last four of 14 straight shots with a hot barrel...Federal fusion 150 grn.

$2385 gun alone to your FFL.
$2635 with the Leupy, that's $1000 less than Melvin gets (with no wait time) and a fine scope thrown in.

1st "I'll take it." May be listed elsewhere.

That....I am not ashamed to say would make me cry to have to sell.

Great price on this rifle. I would be jumping on this if it were right handed. I have a similar one in .308 and it is a tack driver.

I have the stable mate to this one, a 243 Win. Broomd and I bought both late last summer from the same seller. Mine is a great shooter also but NOT for sale...grins.

Somebody is going to get a nice deal here..........
Thanks guys, bitter pill to swallow.
We're self-employed and didn't prepay enough, and didn't have enough deductions.

I refuse to borrow money to pay state and federal taxes.
Melvin makes great rifles. I have a 284 win and a 30-06, that covers the 308 or I would be after this one. Very nice rifle that someone needs to get, great price.
Bump.....
I know the feeling , I have had to sell stuff in the past for same reason. Good luck on sale
Was asked...barrel is 22" (21" from barrel nut.)
Price tweak... $2350 rifle shipped.

$2325....

A rare model 20 in lefty...
Brooms, trade you a lefty 300 wsm HS precision....that kicks really bad.....the guy I bought it from didn't tell me that....lol....I know you pain with tax man.....

bump for a great guy and a good rifle.

good luck with it brother.
A 5lb. rifle in .300wsm = recoil. No newsflash there Archie.

Evening LH .308 NULA/ULA bump.... $2300, save $1300 over a new rifle.
And thanks, Jeff!

Anybody have a right handed model 20 or model 20 short they would be willing to sell. Too bad I'm a righty tonight!

I'm sitting on cash with no sellers? Anybody?

Good luck on this beauty to the Seller. It will sell, no doubt.
Bump for morning crew....
You lefties are missing a helluva deal. I own 2 ULAs, my .308 and the Grandboys 7-08. Don't regret buying either. Come on guys.
Good luck with the sale.
I also have two ULA's, both lefties in 270 WSM $ 300 WSM, and this is still tempting! This is a great deal; you lefties won't find a better deal on one of Melvin's guns.
Thanks fellas.
Nightly look, price tweak...
$2265.

That is about it.
May be my first offering on Gunbroker.
Brooms, you have pm ...I'll take her off your hands....with a buy back condition...
