This is a 'Super Grade' aka Model 1000 in 270 that was made 1950-1953 and is in excellent condition. Serial # is 139xxx which puts it in 1952. Large ring FN type action with steel triggerguard. Rear sight gone and a blank in the dovetail, otherwise it's all original/intact; sling swivels, front sight hood, buttplate, and stock finish. Bore is bright and shiny. Wood show good grain contrast particularly through the forearm. The yellow tint in some of the photos is from the lighting and small camera. There are a few small compression marks on the checkering panels, faint wear on the barrel blueing (Rifle rack wear?)and some faint marks on the comb as if it was compressed when the bolt removed. Overall it would be very hard to find one better.
