I wanted to take the time and introduce Diablo custom rifles and myself, Ryan to everyone here on the fire. Great forum.
We are located in Laramie, Wyoming. Here at Diablo we specialize in highly accurate bolt action rifles both factory rebuilds and full custom. I have been in the custom rifle building business for over ten years. Starting my career getting a gunsmithing degree from the Colorado school of trades then finely tuned my building process over time working for company's like Best of the West, Gunwerks and Christensen Arms. As you can see I have experience from super light wight rifles to the long ranges hammers.
On factory rebuilds we can turn them around in just a couple weeks if barrel and reamers are on hand. (We have barrels in stock most of the time). Full custom builds turn around times are dependent on the parts manufactures. Usually 3-4 months if parts aren't in stock.

In the near future we will be branching off into the AR-15/AR-10 and 1911 platforms.
Here are some samples of what we can do here at Diablo

Ryan builds excellent rifles. I have had several and all have been absolute hammers. Good to see you back at it
It looks like Stiller manufactures the action for your Signature Series Rifle. Is that correct?
Do you do bolt fluting as seen in the pics?
I've got a few bolts that I'd like to get done.

Thanks....
Lone peak arms out of Utah manufactures our Diablo actions. The fluting you see is one of the custom Diablo actions.

We have also built rifles on stiller, defiance, surgeon, Borden and bighorn actions as well as all of the factory actions from the abolt to the wby
We also have a full line of Diablo cartridges. I will be testing 2 of them today. A 7mm and 6.5. I will have a full report this evening. With this project we wanted it to be as practical and straight forward as possible. No fire forming, no custom dies, easy to find brass, fast and flat shooting. Also want to have something that would fit in standard length action sizes with no modification
I look forward to the report.
Looking forward to the reports,
good looking Rifles.
I purchased a 6.5X284 built on a Remington 700 action from Ryan. It is probably the best shooting rifle I own. It routinely shoots groups like the one he posted.
Never pass through Laramie without stopping at Lovejoy's for a burger.
Absolutely amazing looking rifles....Next time at least give them a decent rest to set on for the pics. That ugly Caldwell bag makes me want to puke. Whatever rifle shot that target is a freaking hammer!!!
Look awesome if you'll get rid of the Utah phone number and get a "307" number then we can talk lol. Look like sweet rifles. looking at getting 28 nosler put together sometime soon with manners t5 stock
Thanks for all the interest. I got out yesterday and did some testing on our line of cartridges. Theses might make sence to some people and then no sence to others in my mind it's a win win situation. Like I mentioned before our goals for this were to be able to use readily available brass, zero to minimum fireforming, no custom dies, fit in standard length action with no mods, be fast and accurate.
Our first line is based on the 300 win mag case we have chamberings in 7mm,270,6.5 and 257 cals. We have dubbed these the 284 Diablo, 277 Diablo 264 Diablo and the 257 Diablo.
Now to the shooting report. I tested the 284 and 264 yesterday morning in 30mph winds. I didn't really go for any groups with the 284 was more interested in getting a max load and velocity 180 vlds and h1000. It maxed out safe working load right at 3200 fps. I am extremely happy with this as it is right there with the 28 nosler and stw.

Next up was the 264 Diablo now when I started this project the 26 nosler and the new 6.5 wby weren't in the picture yet any how it still has its place. I designed this one to fit in 3.4" length actions and to shoot the 150/160 type bullets. I was mainly looking for top working load and speed on this one also. I loaded bullets in the 123,140,150, and 160gr with h4831 and rl22. The top loads were 3650,3475,3325 and 3250 respectively. As you can see this one is gonna be a laser. One thing the really amazed me with the 264 is I used the same point of aim for all the different loads and all the shots grouped under an inch, this is at 120 yds and also the 264 has a 24.5" barrel. Here is a teaser pic of the rounds

Gawd I love this stuff.
We also have have a 6mm and 22 cal based on the 350 rem mag case and a line in the works on the 338 Norma case but those are a bit more specialized needing custom dies

I forgot to mention that from now until April 15th we are having our tax days sale, 10% off of our signature and factory action builds and 5% off of customer supplied builds
