This is one sweet rifle! I recently picked this up from the gunsmith who does the bedding for MPI stocks. He bought it new, years ago, to use as a "bedding dummy" while making pre fit stocks. I asked him about buying it and we came to an agreement. The rifle was unfired, until about three months ago. It shoots superbly with 300 Grain Hornady HP's and H4198. 405grain factory Remington ammo shoots great as well. I just counted my brass, and this rifle has 62 rounds down the tube!

The barrel is factory ported and the rifle will come with the (Bsquare rail),pretty sure its a Bsquare. This gun is set up for abuse and hard hunting! It has a custom MPI fiberglass stock installed. He used a classic straight grip, and built up a semi-pistol grip, with a small palm swell. It feels great in my hand! But, if you wanted to change it back to straight, thirty minutes and a couple of files and gray texture paint would take care of that. The LOP is 13.5in, but ill double check on that. I'm 5'11" and it fits me perfectly.

I bought this for shooting hogs, but you rarely get a second shot when they scatter from the feeder.

I want to trade this rifle for a Stainless Ruger #1 45-70. The Tropical with laminated stocks. That is really all that I want. I have about $1600 wrapped up in this rifle and would trade even. A single shot would serve me well. I am not including the scope and rings on my rifle. check out the pix. I tried to show the light scratches, but they were hard to pick up(as they are very minor)

adding pix in a minute...

Forgot to add that the recoil pad is a Decelerator...
just checked MPI's price sheet. They charge $895 for this stock set, installed...

Beautiful gun. Good luck with the sale.
Great looking Marlin Guide Gun!
I have the un-ported version of this rifle in the original walnut stocks, but I really like how yours looks with the MPI stocks on it!
Good luck with your sale!
Thanks fellas! I'll probably regret trading it, but I think a single shot will serve me well. This rifle is ready to take about any weather condition that you can give it!

God I'd kill to have that for bear. Outta reach for me though. Good luck with the sale.
