I have a chance to buy a 33/40 and a 1909.The 1909 is supposed to be in never issued shape and the 33/40 is again supposed to be exceptionally clean. I haven't seen ether yet. but need a starting point on pricing. Thanks in advance for the help. --- Mel

Mel, are we talking complete guns or just the actions? I could have bought two G33-40 actions earlier this year for $350 each. The 1909's are selling for $400 for a complete gun and $250 just for the action. I won't price the complete G33-40 gun because the prices are all over the place. $700 to $1500 seems to be about the norm but you can see how with a spread like that why it's hard to put a price on one. I think the secret to getting a G33-40 is to find one that has been modified. That will drop the price considerably. The two actions I was looking at had the bolt already welded on one and the other had a mis-matched bolt #'s wise but still a G33-40 bolt. Ken

I'd be interested in the .257 if you can get a price on it. Ken
