What is the procedure for attaching pictures now? I have a rifle to sell, and between Photobucket and "Image Manager" on this page I am not getting very far.

Thanks

Royce

Easiest to ask for anyone interested in pics to pm a phone number to text pics or an email to send pics to

I opened an account at postimages.org today. It seems to work like photobucket. I only posted one picture so far, but it worked. My images still work from photobucket at this moment as well, but I guess eventually that will change. https://postimages.org

Royce, Photobucket still works but you have to follow their procedure which has nothing to do with "image manager" that is a park of the new 24 hour image program.

Navigate down to the Misc topics section and click on "Image Gallery", click on "New Image Gallery", fill in the title and put something into the message body.

Navigate down to "Post options" click on "Image Manager" click on "Select File to Attach" the screen that shows up will be your computer directory structure, navigate to where you have your photos stored and double click on the photo you want to upload to the 24hr campfire. After the upload completes choose your next picture or click on "Done"

When you are done uploading pictures click on "Post New Message" (Note: your pictures will not show until you click "Post New Message")the message you just created will post just like the messages on any other part of the board. Now go back and open the message you just created and you will see the pictures you just uploaded, right click on the picture you want to display in another thread and select "Copy Image Location" create or navigate to the thread you want to post the picture in and select the "Insert image Link" icon and paste the link in the little box just like we used to.

I hope this helps and is not to confusing.

Here is another procedure that works without needing an external host.

Draft your post using the Full Editor (button below the entry field).
Use the Attachment Manager to attach up to two image files.
Post your message, and the two image files are attached.
Right click the first image file and "copy the link address."
Edit your post, click the icon/button to "Insert Image Link," and paste the link address you just copied.
Click "Change Post."
Do the same thing again for your second image; right click, "copy the link address," edit your post, insert image link, paste the saved link, click change post.

It requires a few steps to be sure, but it works, and doesn't require an external host.
