I've let this posting slip for awhile. Time to renew.
I'll paint your stock with the base color of your choice.
Add spider web. Black, silver, white, or gold.
Nothing fancy. Not Durakote.
Just a decent chip resistant paint.
Not bullet proof, but serviceable to dress up that plain black plastic stock.
I can text pictures.
$57 shipped which includes shipping to the lower 48.
And you do a nice job of it too.
John boy did a dang nice job on my SPS stock. The handle feels tremendously better and looks great. Thanks John Boy
He did my Tikka stock. It turned out very well. Does dress up your stock.
Painted my first Hogue rubber stock today.
I'll post results later.
Man does primo work, highly recommended. Let me know how it works out, got a couple Hogue's lying around i might get done. Any chance you could do a stock set off a CVA Apex, similar texture to the Hogue.
Let me see how the Hogue works out.
I'm concerned with the built in give due to the soft material.
I think the paint will bond ok, but I think it may crack if the soft surface encounters pressure sufficient to make it flex.
just got back a stock John did for me, came out far better than I expected.
Got a stock coming in for Daughter, think I'll send it in when it gets here, could you text me a picture to 707-489-7286 or better yet
[email protected]
Man does great work at a fair price. Got pics of my newest one , lol ?
Thanks for reminding me, I will ask my son if he wants his Tikka stock painted.
If any of my previous customers want to post a picture here feel free to do so.
Freebump for excellent paint work and being a standup guy to deal with. Tan w/black web looks great on matte black guns.
"Painting Members" I saw this post at a glance and had to laugh.
Bump for a great guy who puts out a like product..
Have you done a Weatherby Vanguard S2? I have one I'd like to take from this:
to this:
Any idea on turn around time?
Paint cure time is seven days.
The rest is up to the post office.
Let's drop the price back to $55 shipped.....
Bump for the new year....
John Boy: Do you put a clearcoat or any kind of sealer over the paint? Do you paint wood stocks?
Yes to both.
Either a matte, or satin clear coat.
Wooden stocks are fine to paint.
Let's drop the price back to $55 shipped.....
I've done several of my own. However, at this price and the "cost of my time", it will be worth it in the future to send them off to John Boy.
I want one but Need to see some pictures of work...especially in brown. powdr
John Boy painted two for me. One stock was a serious "Problem Child." Great JOB!
powdr,
See if this works.
If not send me your email, or phone and I'll send you some directly.

What is the brightest Orange & Purple colors you have?
Sorry for the slow response. I have a fairly wide variety of colors.
Post some examples here and I'll see if I can match it.
I can ( and have done ) also do John Deere green!!!

2nd stock shipped together with the first is only $35 extra.
Two stocks painted and shipped back for only $90
Any pictures of a coyote tan with black webbing?
Do either of these whaling for coyote tan???

Have you done any camo patterns .
I tried before, but it's too labor intensive and I lack the skill to really do it well.
Just trying to do something inexpensive to cover up ugly black stocks.
Time/labor would really run the price up.
would like a more tan, like military sig-sauer mod 17 with black spiderweb, is it possible?
No problem.... My supplier has that shade...
Can you just put black spider webbing on the existing tan Kimber Hunter stock (and maybe a satin clear coat) or do you have to paint the stock first?
New color available. Will look like this....

I have an HS stock that has had Krylon paint from a previous owner applied, do I need to strip it before I send it?
Wayne
The texture would prevent a complete removal unless you want to sand it smooth.
I would just sand lightly and paint. You can do it, or I will.
Also remove pad and studs. Be aware, pads are occasionally glued on.....
Blue tape works wonders....
John Boy just did my tikka T3x in coyote brown with black spiderweb, does really nice work and a fast turnaround.
I just bought a grey black spiderweb 10/22 stock from him. I'm gonna send him another. Outstanding work!!!!
I want to draw a little attention to the guy that’s doing this stock painting. Guys, you should see what kind of work John_Boy is putting out! I sent him an HS Precision stock that looked like it had been dragged down the highway on a string behind a fast moving truck, what he sent me back looks like a new stock! The attention to detail is spot on, and his turnaround is amazing. Guess what I’m saying is send him your business, you won’t be disappointed.
Thanks John for a exceptionally good job,
Wayne
PS; I tried to post some pics... guess I’m not savvy enough...
I’ve got a couple that need repainting. Tag for later.
I've posted pictures of Wayne's stock in the image gallery.
Here are a couple more...

I asked him to do one in Ivory with Gold webbing. Came out great and even he admitted it was pretty good.
That one worried me.... But not near as bad as the orange one, or the John Deere green one I did for a couple of members kids..
I'm not allowed to talk about the lime green one I did for my wife...
Concur and bump for one of the greatest gentlemen to do business with!! Excellent work and detail. He makes a ragged stock look good again! At last count, John just painted the 8th stock for me. Totally satisfied customer! Family pic coming soon!
Thank you Six pack and Tracks.....
Interesting. I might just have a project in mind.....

Very nice work, John. I have painted several stocks using Brownells epoxy based paints. They came out pretty good, but not as nice as your work. I will keep you in mind for my next ugly stock.
Brownells sells good stuff.
PM me some pictures. I'd like to see your work.

Here’s a couple John_Boy did for me on my sons ruger Hawkeye in Coyote Brown/Black Web:
He has done 7 or 8 stocks for me. I can not speak highly enough for his work! Awesome!!
