This was one of two rifles that I bought right out of the trunk of a guy's car at the range. He was getting on in years and moving to live with his daughter, who said he couldn't bring his guns, and he was liquidating a handwritten list three pages long! He said he never shot this rifle, and I've put under 100 rounds through it...mostly plinkers. As I understand it, 1983 was the first year of production for the Model 94AE XTR in .307 Win, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's the only year Winchester made this rifle with an uncheckered Monte Carlo stock. So here it is: nice walnut with just a couple of safe dings (pictured), very nice metal with some finish loss on the lever gate; NO crossbolt safety; hammer extension; hooded front bead and elevation-adjustable, fold-down rear sight. The pictures in the ad and in this folder (click here for the pictures; best ones are at the bottom of the page) speak better than I can for the rifle.

New Hornady and Winchester brass is currently available. If you have a .308 Win die set and a .30-30 shellholder, you're in business. Hunt with Nosler 170gr Partition RN and Varget. Plink to your heart's content with 150gr Berry's plated FN and "70% Max Load" of H4895.

Rifle with sling studs, hammer extension, Leupold front dovetail/rear windage-adjustable bases, Millet rings shipped to your FFL (CONUS) in a boxed hard case: $675. Burris 1.75-5x20 is NOT included, but if you want it with the rifle, make me an offer. I want to sell this rig before I change my mind. So I'll give it a week or so here before it goes to GB.
