Selling one that i recently acquired for a new toy. Its a g prefix 1950 Marlin 336 A DL (only marked A) with the deluxe wood. Has had scope mount holes put in its waffle top and two more small holes in the barrel in front of the receiver. Metal and bluing look great, as does the wood. Pachmeyr pad installed. Bullseye still in place. Rear sight removed and a filler block installed.

I am going to ask $525 Shipped to your ffl from private seller for it, insured, in a soft case.

How does it shoot
I'd snap that up w/o the holes.
Have personally never shot this one and it would be a lot more money without the holes
What would the extra holes on the barrel would have been for if one was to speculate?
Scout scope set up maybe? Nice looking rifle there. Wish I had the funds.
That is a real nice marlin.
Im guessing scout scope. It was all done by the time I acquired it
Ballard rifling? How's the bore and crown .
Ballard I think, not marked micro groove
Bore and crown great

Price lowered to 495 shipped

Maybe a Stith scope mount? There were so many options for scope mounts back then.

All I can say is - lots of holes that weren't there when it left the factory in 1950. Looks nice though - I like it.
