Mechanics are nice and tight including the trigger. Some minor surface scale and some carbon still in the barrel. Under-lug detached most of the way, needs work. Great basis for a early premium grade English black powder bird gun. Marked Beckwith No. 3 on the side plate and London on the barrel. There appears to be a social security No. etched on the chamber area on the left side of the barrel. I thought it could have been assigned to someone, perhaps a cook for an army. However, I haven't been able to substantiate this as a historical fact. Rock Island gave me an auction estimate of $850-$1500 as it is. I'd rather not ship and wait. It's gotta go. I overspent again this year.
I also have a minty Dakota Model 10 Deluxe in .275 Rigby (7X57 Mauser chamber) with great wood grain for sale at a good price. The Dakota was never in the field. I ordered it new. Please inquire.

Beckwith PRICE $595.00 delivered lower 48.
