WANT TO SELL: Pre '64 Winchester M/70 Featherweight custom .257 Roberts. This fine classic custom rifle is based on a 1953 vintage M/70 action which has been rebarrelled by Douglass with one of their XX Premium barrels. Douglass copied the original Featherweight contour, it is sightless 22" in length with a recessed crown. The custom stock made by Paul Jaeger stockmaker Fritz Voigt (signed and dated under the BP) features nicely figured French walnut, classic in style it has an oval cheekpiece with shadow line and a schnabel forend tip LOP is 14 1/8". It has Neidner steel buttplate and grip cap and is checkered in a point pattern. The blue on the action is original and retains 95%, barrel was blued by Douglass at the time of installation. Additional custom touches include a wide checkered bolt release, two panel checkered bolt knob and jeweled bolt body and extractor. The trigger breaks cleanly at approx. 2# with minimal overtravel. The stock remains in VG+ - EXC condition with a couple small dings, if you're looking for a really nice vintage lightweight .257 Roberts sporter look no further this is it.
