I assume that it is this: Remington 700 SPS 24" matte finish, but I'm not powdr.
OK, I must be getting cranky in my old age. So I went to the Remington website and discovered I was correct, Remington 700 SPS rifles could be had in either stainless or blued finish. Just saying "correct" doesn't answer the question.
Matte tells me it's blued, but I could be wrong
I have heard stainless described as having a matte finish (typically bead blasted) as opposed to a shiny stainless finish.
If it was stainless steel I would have said so. lt is matte black. I hope that clears up any problems. It is not blue...it is black. I think the company calls it matte blue but it's really black. Hope that helps. powdr

I'll say this, I bought a Model 700 SPS in 6.5 CM and am very impressed with the way it shoots. Mine is the same barrel as the OP is trying to sell. I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I'd highly recommend this.
