Man, that's a nice shooter. GLWS!
.358's seem to be hot right now, maybe I should rebore it!?!

I put it on Gunbroker also.
I have a custom 358 win and I absolutely love it. Not much recoil & It's a hammer; GLWS on a very nice rifle!
If it shoots it would be a shame to roll the dice on a rebore. That is a fantastic bear and moose rifle that'll drop the hammer on elk and deer. Don't get me wrong, I love the 35 cal's, but there's nothing a 358 Win will do that your 338 Fed can't do. It's as light-weight as practical for the caliber and currently there's more bullet choice with 338 than 358.

That's like reboring a 30-30 to a .32 Winchester Special.
$1600.00 shipped to any of the 50 states!

The 338F has the advantage of good factory ammo...if not using pistol bullets for plinking by handloaders, there is not meaningful different IMHO on game with regular hunting loads, IMHO.

The 338F like the 358 WCF - are no frills hammers. IIRC, Layne Simpson dumped an Elk at just over 300 yds...which realistically is farther than much game is presented and taken across NA.
I enjoy the rifle but retirement has me downsizing.
