Another project...that is not gonna happen. 22+" BBL. Mannlicher stocked L 579 chambered in .308. This is the only long BBL. Mannlicher Sako I have seen. Most are 20".

I have more than a few of these . This one has a cracked and repaired wrist, as a number of these Mannlichers seem to have. Sako did not provide a crossbolt in the Mannlichers.

Rifle has Timney trigger, leupold 1" rings, Sako Peep. Peep has been opened up to 0.150.

Nice clean BBL'ed . action , repaired stock. $ 1050.00 shipped to FFL in lower 48.

PM for more pix/ info.

Nice! You might want to add a couple of full length pics GLWS
This should be gone soon. For my sake,
drooling........... cry
oh, too be a rich man.
Dam is that nice.

Unusual barrel length. I have several others ....all 20" bbls.
Couple more

I'd bet that the long barrel makes for better than average balance.
pretty decent drool factor on that one.
Do you have a weight on this rifle?

This long barreled SOB weighs 6.75 LBS with rings and peeper.

I can email pics ...be a lot better than my feeble posting here.

[email protected] I do not know how to put pix in PM's either. Frustrating to be so challenged at the keyboard.

i am gonna shoot a violator at the bird feeder ...make a martini and read the WSJ.

Good night and thank you all for your patience.

Good morning
Never saw one with 22 inch barrel, cool gun.........

This is the only Sako Mannlicher stocked rifle with 22+" BBLS. I have come across.
The barrel length on this rifle is common. Most all of the older Sako Mannlicher's had the longer barrels like this one.

It's rare to find the old ones with a 20 inch barrel.

The later Sako's, most all are 20".

How many do you have?

You have it backwards...

My memory does not serve me well, but I think this came from a PX in Germany many years ago. Whatever, difference that does or doesn't make.

Shrap, you must not know your Sako's.

Here are just a few of my Sako's.

The barrel length of yours again, is very common. This applies to the early ones like the model that you selling here. The hard to find, rare, early Mannlichers had 20 inch barrels. Then Sako on their later models went to the 20 inch barrel. They did make a fewer of the later models
with the longer barrels, but these are very hard to find also.

Not bashing your thread, your rifle is what it is. Just thought I would point out the facts on barrel length.

You can always go to the Sako Collectors Forum and ask the questions if you wish.
