There nice chambering but you could get a 700 and have one custom barreled for the same price or maybe less.

Good luck in your search for a cartridge that out performs it's powder capacity. You could buy many musky lures for what a Rem 700 in 250 Sav is going to cost you.

I got one of these for a graduation present the year they were offered from my dad......it is extremely accurate and I have taken a pile of deer with it over the years along with a couple of pronghorns and one cow elk.

If my oldest son didn’t kill his first buck with it, I might be able to sell mine. I see them every now and then on Gunbroker. When you find one for $750 or less, buy it quickly.

Wanted to show you mine. I got lucky a few years back and found this one. Had the action bedded, stock pillar bedded. barrel free floated and a Timney trigger installed to 3 lbs. I do not reload but it really likes factory loaded Winchester silvertips 100 grain.
