Savage 1899 and 99's for sale, The numbers for the first four rifles correspond to rifles from top to bottom in the first two photos
1. 1899 short rifle, 303 Savage, serial # 107xx, produced in 1899, PENDING SALE. It was bought from the Sweetwater, Wy., sheriff's department in a sale of confiscated firearms. The papers stuck to each side of the stock say, "Jan 1955, Gun owned by Frank Mahoney (Mick)". See the first gun in the first two photos and the closeup of the paper in the third photo. It has an unmarked tang sight and is really "well used" (rough) $650
2. 99EG, 300 Savage, serial #3813xx, Marbles tang sight, fair to good condition, some blueing wear, good plus case hardening, light scratches on stock, tang crack just starting. $700
3. 99T, 300 Savage, serial #391773, Weaver 330 scope with post reticle and Weaver T7 mount. Excellent overall condition, excellent case hardening, minor checkering wear on forearm, very light scratch on right cheek piece. Pictured on p. 82 of my book, "A Collector's Guide to the Savage 99 Rifle and its Predecessors, the Models 1895 and 1899" $1400
4. 99EG, 300 Savage, serial #507088, Kollmorgen scope with post reticle and Stith windage and elevation adjustable mount. almost excellent overall, good plus case, mismatched forearm, $900

the following 99's are numbers 5 to 8 top to bottom in photos 5 and 6
5. 99C, 308 Winchester, serial #1116028, LBC T, 1966 production, has the early 99F and 99DL type lightweight barrel, excellent overall condition with slightly faded case. $800
6. 99E, 300 Savage, serial # A3706xx, Weaver K-4 60B, excellent condition with some wear on bottom of receiver, excellent case. $595
7. SOLD 99DL, 243 Winchester, serial #A9852xx, very late production to have the lightweight barrel, excellent condition with some wear on the bottom of the receiver, excellent case, good plus damascening on the bolt. $750
8. SOLD 99C 22-250 Remington (very rare in this caliber), serial # C5871xx, Comes with a Weaver K10 not the Leupold in the picture. The K10 is shown in the last photo. Excellent condition with good plus case. $1350.
