The only thing not original about the stock is the addition of a recoil pad. When I bought the gun it had a badly decomposing recoil pad (probably installed in 1955) and the gun store owner said he had a new Winchester brand recoil pad that he wanted to install for me so I went for it. This was going to be a project gun that I never got around to shooting or changing etc. A few years ago I was thinking about dropping the gun into a new stock but never did. 13.5" LOP.
