Beware, the guy is a scammer. Sent money via PayPal, gave bogus contact info of the shop he wanted to use, while filing for a refund via PayPal, and asking me to still ship the gun. According to PayPal this is a common scam, they get the merchandise, and a refund, from stolen credit cards. They advised to hold on to the money for 30 days in case PayPal reverses the charges. I am not a scammer my name is Kenneth Pena 103 Chantelly lane Los lunas N.M. 87031 I paid PayPal through friends and family and my ffl dealer sent the info they said they didn’t receive payment so I told him I wanted a refund I sent numerous texts to get this resolved and he has ignored them including one today I will be cantacting the ffl dealer Monday so anybody want to verify my info 5055500747
My email is [email protected] and he got paid anybody want to give me a hand this guy is a crook by the way I have bought a pack from a guy on here so I am not the crook
$400 shipped. I take PayPal friends/family to [email protected] Or USPS money order to Albany Shooting Sports 1115 Kerrisdale Dr SE Albany Or 97322 503-510-3499. Be sure to send a copy of the FFL with payment or email to [email protected] He said he wanted it sent to Albany which my dealer did they told me they received an email saying that they hadn’t got paid
What FFL? Why would they receive payment? All they had to do was send a copy of their FFL to me. You gave me TWO bogus phone numbers for this imaginary FFL, and a name for a ship out of business. You then started a refund claim with PayPal while still asking me to ship the gun. You’re a fraud.
That’s why he wanted it paid friends and family to keep it away from the company I believe but I don’t know all I can tell him is don’t give a donation because you still owe me he won’t respond to my texts anybody can call me or whatever you want and I will do what ever it takes to get my gun or money so believe want ever you want but I will give you the truth I think this guy is pulling a fast one I actually called him a democrat
Wrong I never started a paypal refund and you told me to send the info to you about ffl so they sent it to Albany then they text back and said that I hadn’t paid when I had paid you two days earlier I told you I was going to save all the texts you crook
What company am I keeping money from? All you had to do is have a legitimate FFL contact me, but you refuse to do it. PayPal believes you’re a scammer too.
Why have payment sent to friends and family then request the ffl email you through Albany then they get email saying I don’t pay when you had payment two days earlier I am a former United States marine 83-86 served in Beruit in 1984 0311 my son is an 0311 2nd 4 th marines you have some serious issues if you need money that bad I would of gave it to you it’s a bad mistake when you push people with skills like me you like I told you before are a crook and a liar and you will here from me and I ain’t no guy using fake cards
Look I need to get this resolved I came off the wrong way you caught at a bad time so I am sorry but if you can send the gun to any dealer I am close to Albuquerque so that or a refund again I am sorry I sent him this text today then he put the post on here
So until this is resolved I would not buy a anything from this guy or Albanyshooting I am sorry this is happening on here but this guy is trying to dirty my name you would do the same

All the guy has to do is contact a legitimate FFL. He’s playing games on purpose. If I was screwing him, I wouldn’t be offering to donate the scammers money. I’ve had lots of positive transactions here.
When my dealer told me that the company told them by email that they hadn’t received payment I knew I screwed up that’s why he wanted payment sent to fish todd
Your dealer never told you tat because they never contacted me. Why would I refund you with a money order when you’ve already started a PayPal claim? Then you’d end up with a double refund. Scammer, just like PayPal explained.
You guys gotta give it up to this jarhead dude. Most of the scammers just disappear and won’t reply once they’re caught. He knows he isn’t getting his money back AND he isn’t getting the gun. Backfire!
This is awesome. NRA gets money. Scammed gets phu cked. And I’m getting another beer and a good laugh.
It’s not, their phone number is disconnected. No response from emails. The other phone number he provided has no voicemail. I’ve tried it multiple times.
According to PayPal, since he filed a claim, if they approve it, and I refund him, then I’m out $$$. I’m following PayPal’s recommendation on waiting 30 days.

I don’t know either of these guys but the scam that 284BLR is describing, as allegedly told by PayPal, fits nicely into what this Jarhead guy is saying.
Send me the gun or send me the money back. If he’s already filed the claim with PayPal, he wants one or the other back. If he is scamming, he’s out both if the seller waits until the dust settles.
This is of course if I understand what is going on. Apparently there’s a game on, but I’ve forgotten about it at this point.
What kind of hack is going to come on here and tell you they clean for a living and give you there address and phone number members of this forum this guy is wrong and probably illegal somebody needs to look into his background and let the us know about him I am
My email is jarhead.17@aol.com and he got paid anybody want to give me a hand this guy is a crook by the way I have bought a pack from a guy on here so I am not the crook
It’s a small world...much smaller than most think! I’m a betting man and I’d bet that after 257heavens post that old jarhead is full of sheeeeit! Far too many posts trying to justify the position
Only thing I can think is that this Jarhead guy’s account got hacked by a scammer OR he’s legit.
Just went back and looked and the backpack he keeps talking about buying was purchased from one of my best friends on the planet who I’d trust unequivocally. I just reached out to him and he said the deal went off without a hitch, he was paid immediately, and there was no foul play.
Unless this Jarhead dude’s account was hacked and/or he bought a backpack a year and a half ago to set up this scam, I’m scratching my head.
I completed a deal with 284BLR just 4 days ago; it was flawless. my 2 cents
But after seeing this, I’m starting to think the Jarhead dude’s account was hacked by someone who is much more outspoken.
I’ve had a face to face deal with watch4bear here in Alaska and I wouldn’t consider him to be someone to be dishonest. With it being far more recent, I’m still inclined to believe 284blr and think that Jarhead’s account got hacked by someone trying to do this PayPal scam. I bet he’s really loud right now trying to get something to happen before the ship has sailed. If I had to guess, we won’t hear much more out of this Jarhead dude in a few more days.

Interested in the scam Paypal mentioned explained, 284BLR, if you don't mind sharing.
I am gathering that A SUSPECT PURCHASER uses Paypal to purchase an item, using a credit card vs funds already in Paypal's system? Then after the item is received by the scammer( seems he jumped the gun if he filed for a refund before receiving the gun so the scam didn't work out if that was really his intention) and if the "scam" worked they would have the item in hand, then they file to paypal for a refund saying they never received the item, and when Paypal refunds his credit card what he paid you with? so if it gets that far the result is you shipped merchandise and he got back the funds he paid you? Not good!
More curious to understand how to avoid this scam scenario that paypal explained to you, 284 BLR. It seems he decided Jan 19th he just wanted to back out of the deal, is that about when he filed for a refund through Paypal?
Thanks if you don't mind sharing how this scam works. It actually seems he could have just chosen a bad receiving FFL ? Lots of other gun dealers in Albuquerque when I worked there back in the 1990's.
My account did not get scammmed I have been checking to see if this guy is going to refund I have not stopped payment through paypal or credit card I am telling you guys he is the crook not me

Post another FFL receiving dealer here if you want the gun...... or pm him the info
It seems the lack of his ability to contact a receiving FFL is what HE has been asking for. He or his ffl won't ship until he has where to legally send it to.
If this were the scam described, buying a gun that has to go through a dealer kind of screws it up. The dealer would have a paper trail that the guy received the item so I’m not sure how that works out for him.
When your pissed it’s hard to be a grammar major somebody please pull up Zillow los Luna’s N.M. 87031 I have a property for sale it’s been on the market for about 18 days I think it’s listed for 179,000 for sale by owner my number is ther I have tthungs to do today but I am going to fouch arms today to get the email he sent to them that he didn’t get paid this was on a Saturday I paid him the Thursday before
Lol!!! "How not to establish a good reputation for classified deals".
This is more confusing than getting a barrel of monkeys toy on Christmas morning, and none of the fugging things have hooked arms to link up with each other.
Hemiallen I tried that they said they didn’t get paid
Can you clarify what it is they didn't get paid for? You claim to have sent the OP the money, and in most places you'd be the one paying your FFL's fee to receive it so what exactly didn't "they" get paid for?

I’d love to see this imaginary email. Hell I’d love to see you make contact with this FFL. Their number is disconnected and no response from their email asking for their FFL. I’ve been very clear that you paid me, I just need a legitimate FFL to send the gun to. You refuse to provide one.

This has been the most confusing part of this saga.....I'm also anxious to know who "they" are, and what "they" were expecting money for.
Foch arms is closed today but I talked to Trish about what she did said she faxed the ffl stuff to him and she got email or fax don’t know that they hadn’t got paid this was Saturday I payed him Thursday her number is 5054142139 thanks

Wait, you said they emailed me and I responded, now she faxed me? I don’t have fax, and never provided a fax number. You’ve been caught scammer.
I've been quietly sitting on the sidelines here for 7 pages. Here is my take: What payment is jarheads FFL requesting? If Jarhead is a scammer, I think he would have vanished by now. If 284BLR received payment for said item, then I don't see a problem with Jarhead. I see a breakdown in communication. And some/too much name calling and possible typing while drinking? Or? I'm not taking sides at all, but Jarhead needs to take some time to compose himself, type using punctuation and check for spelling errors and be sure all phone numbers are correct and email back all FFL information to 284. Perhaps jarheads FFL is expecting up front payment from him for the transfer? Perhaps the FFL has mixed up who they sent their FFL to? Now, back to my popcorn to continue watching. Good luck boys, Ed
And that’s not the phone number listed with this business. That phone number has a generic voicemail, and doesn’t return phone calls. I’m done with you being disingenuous about everything. It shouldn’t be this hard.
284, are YOU or an FFL shipping your gun to his FFL?
I AM an FFL, and Jarhead won’t provide a an FFL to send the shotgun to. The FFL he keeps talking about has a disconnected number, and won’t respond to emails. It appears they are an ammunition manufacturer that went out of business. The phone number he provided is not listed as that business, has a generic voicemail, and won’t return any of my voicemails. All I need is a legitimate FFL to ship the gun to, and he refuses.
Then call the number I gave you before her name is trish she is in charge of transfers I am not in charge of there phone numbers you told me to get a ffl and contact you they did and they got a reply saying they didn’t receive payment is that hard to understand
Again, from the outside looking in: Jarhead, Relax! Maybe choose a different FFL? There has to be another one fairly local? There certainly seems to be a communication breakdown. This should be pretty simple. I sold 5 guns here 2 weeks ago and every sale was pleasant and seamless.......We are all like minded folks......
284 Being the FFL clears up alot for my understanding of the situation.
And I stated earlier, this whole deal is very clear, 284 can't send the gun to Abq without contacting the receiving dealer. Jarhead needs to give 284 a dealer he can talk to, to complete the transaction.
Pretty simple, and Jarhead stated there are many FFL's in his area, why haven't you chosen a different receiving FFL, that 284 can deal with? This started basically on Jan 19th, from 284's posting your conversations
You keep saying that your FFL hasn't been paid, what exactly are they supposed to be paid for? You sent payment to the seller, your FFL has nothing to do with being paid. This just doesn't make any sense at all. YOU are supposed to pay your FFL at the time of transfer, the seller has no obligation to pay anything to your FFL.
. . . you told me to get a ffl and contact you they did and they got a reply saying they didn’t receive payment is that hard to understand
The receiving FFL saying "they have not received payment" makes no sense. I have done lots of online purchases, and each time the receiving FFL gets paid by me when I show up, pass the background check, and take possession of the gun.
That the buyer in this unfortunate debacle doesn't seem to know the basics of how an internet gun sale works, and that his writing is barely readable English, makes me think that the buyer is an offshore scammer.

If Jarhead is just a beginner at buying online, then some of this ignorance is excusable. But if he's a scammer, he's getting quite the education on how this actually works for his next scam.
All of this screams scam, beyond PayPal’s warnings. I’m supposed to pay his FFL, imaginary emails, but now it’s fax. Who uses a fax anymore? He says the store is closed today, but also says he called a woman there today. Later he says he just picked an FFL off the Internet. He can’t keep his story straight. I’m really done with this.
I think I’ve been more than patient, when it should be so easy. All I get is insults.

Agree--even if he's a legit buyer, the ignorance displayed on his part on how this works, and the headaches caused along with it would make me implement the "right to refuse service" as you see fit.
What Jarhead is trying to say in somewhat broken English is that his dealer claims that they were told by 284 that HE had not been paid and he wouldn’t ship the gun.
It wasn’t easy getting that out of what he wrote but it’s the only way it makes sense.
All of this screams scam, beyond PayPal’s warnings....
Why anyone would try and openly do gun business on PP is beyond stupidity.
Yet most people, including on this forum, do it. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of an issue. I did 196 transactions last year, about 1/3 were PayPal.
What makes you think that? 4 people were arrested breaking into the place just 7 months ago. And there license is still valid and showing the same address.
As to using PayPal to purchase firearms... its a No-No. An individual might not know that but a FFL doing business and selling some 200 rifles in the past year should damn well know it!

Phil
Because their phone number is disconnected and nobody returns any emails.
As for PayPal, it’s just a policy. Not a big deal. No laws are broken.
Number wasn't disconnected when I called, though it was being used as a fax line at the time. As to the E-mail (not everyone lives on the computer).
Phil
Look internet tough guy, they could return an email in the nearly 2 weeks it’s been. It was disconnected when I called. How else do you suggest I contact them, which isn’t even my job. You seem to have an abnormal interest in this deal. What’s your dog in the fight?
For what it’s worth - Jarhead DID send me a PM with my buddy’s real name from a transaction he did a year and a half ago. Perhaps the account hasn’t been hacked.
As others have alluded to, I think he just chose a schiddy FFL to use and got a bad message from them. If I was Jarhead, I’d just relax a little bit, realize that 284BLR isn’t trying to screw him, he just needs an FFL to ship the gun.
Others have found more FFL’s in NM. Perhaps there is someone on here who lives near ABQ and has done more online gun purchasing who can point Jarhead to a reliable FFL. That should clear it all up, as others have already mentioned.
Read the posted texts: Seller has offered to contact the FFL to clear things up, but Buyer won't provide the name, while aggressively demanding a refund right now.
The Buyer himself inexplicably torpedoed his own transaction, then wants an immediate refund.
Add-in, it appears the Buyer has never done an online firearms transaction, and English is not his first language.
Seller has every right to be cautious based on the Buyer's contradictory and threatening behavior.
The man said that they had gone to Las Vegas for the show... The Shot show was last week, and Crossroads next week. The FFL that I use does the same, closes up a month or two every year and tours the local shows.

Petersens Guns in ALBQ does transfers, they are an old well established store that is familiar with doing it, if I recall correctly they charge $25
People don't realize that those online agreements of use (such as with PayPal) are enforceable. Same as any other legally signed contract, ever since 2000 with the Electronic Signature in Global and International Commerce Act. Fraudulent use to avoid fees can be held in court. Probably not with an individual, but with company's I wouldn't want to take the chance, or consider it wise!
No he lied I did not cancel paypal or credit card and I did what he told me the reason I wanted to back out is because they told me that they didn’t get payment they is albany
Seller should NOT have to do any of the legwork to get the FFL copy or at least the number for the EzCheck. Nothing pisses me off more than a buyer making the seller do all the work to get the FFL. It's a bullschitt way to buy guns.
No FFL copy to my email....no shipping the gun. I'll never risk doing anything illegal with a firearm. Way too much at stake.
And 1st post says the buyer filed for a refund from Paypal. Not sure what that does....but I'd bet it screws up getting funds transferred to your bank account.

I totally agree.
But this new wave off FFLs that WILL NOT send a copy of their license just screws stuff up IMO. Buyers should boycott these dealers that WILL NOT send a copy of their license. I believe they are just trying to make it more difficult since they are not making anything on the gun beside the transfer. One excuse I’ve heard is “JOE blow in Las Vegas used Dealer xyz’s license and made a fake one”. Gimme a break

Yea....Any reasonable seller is going to go to FFL EzCheck and check the address. I do it every time. My local UPS terminal knows me and doesn't even want to look at the FFL copy any more. But I always have either the FFL copy or the EzCheck print out for them to look at if they want to verify.

I’ve never heard of this. We put “File copy only, no in person transactions” on the FFL, and that curbs any nonsense. You’re giving a copy to another FFL, and it’s public record anyway.
BS.. This is 284BLR's [bleep] up.. He owes Jarhead an apology. Damn, keep the rifle and send the money to the NRA? That's bullshit!
g
You’re clueless. Jarhead has been dishonest and evasive from the beginning. I can’t ship without an FFL. Nearly 2 weeks and he refuses to cooperate. I’m not a thief, so I won’t keep his money. That fact that you defend him speaks volumes about you.
I don’t know why I keep coming back to this post. So much drama, so much divisiveness, it’s like someone is about to get impeached. I guess, I’m just waiting to read the final chapter on this novel....

Amen to that! I had one FFL that would give me a copy of his FFL so I could make my own copies to send to the sellers...talk about making things allot smoother! This secret squirrel BS is for the birds!

If I am reading this right, he paid you money. He is having difficulty securing a FFL. You want to take the money he sent you and not return it if he can’t secure an FFL?
Have you transferred the money from PayPal to your bank yet? If you do not return the money or send the rifle when he secures the FFL you are a thief. What exactly are you out right now to even start this post?
Holy Father of All Hellfire and Damnation, can either of the two combatants here read a road map? how about a compass or topo map? anyone here ever seen a damn Globe? this isn't difficult.

Because I tell them it's a firearm. At first, they looked at it to verify the address. But now.....they don't look at it. I'm in conservative west Texas. The lady that worked there before the one there now asked me if she could look at one of my rifles because she was into rifles. I gladly unboxed it for her and let her check it out. After that, I left them untaped just in case she wanted to look.

Don’t worry you can wait a month or two whatever it takes for you to make sure the money is real then you can ship no big deal quail season will be over by then remember the gun was for my son who came on leave so we could go hunting quail.
I might not get service for a couple of days I am going on an oryx hunt don’t know how long yet might get lucky but I do have thirty days till end of February so don’t think I am dodging anything or anybody thanks Ken

That's right it's leap year...............30 days till the end of February? It's the 4th here on a 29 day month. Must be a democrat. Like Rosanne says, Democrats can't do math!
dang.......I can't believe I sat here and read this whole thing through....guess I'm an idiot but could not stop laughing .....who's on first today? tune in tomorrow to find out....oh wait, the Senate votes tomorrow so all here will be watching that and not waiting to find out: where is the gun or refund now?

Do either of you guys drive an Avalanche with a big winch on the front of it???
No, the winch was mounted on the back of the cab by the rear window, keeps it out of harms way there and makes it easier to get ass shot bears into the bed..
Some send a copy of ffl some don’t...at my Post Office they also accept a ezcheck form, so no worry’s there.
IMO what should 284 do? JH filed a claim. My guess now he has to wait....
And to really top things PayPal will probably lock their accounts now.
I don't use PayPal but you are correct. I have a friend who sold a gun and there is apparently a description/memo line when you pay and the seller noted, "Custom .300 Weatherby rifle" with his payment! Both accounts were locked/disabled! Moron action day.
I called JCT, Al said Ken came in and claims I’m a Palestinian arms dealer or something to that effect. They have declined to deal with him as he wasn’t acting right.
Ken wants a refund via money order, and has also filed a refund claim with PayPal. This means he’d receive $800 in refunded money for a $400 purchase.
According to Kens post above, he will be incommunicado for 1-2 weeks while on an Oryx hunt.
I checked that out; that's a pretty nice shotgun. if this deals falls though for some reason, I can have funds and a copy of FFL to you in 10 minutes or less
I wouldnt send that bonehead a squirt gun. He is not all there. His jar sounds empty. I'd wait the allowed time and then send him some money back. I'll stand by my previous post about failing a background check.

It just keeps getting better. Lmao
I was going to watch my first child be born today.. Nah, I think I’ll stay here🤣 Post pics of Oryx JH..

Then accept the PayPal return. If he requested one, they will send you an email. If you have not received an email from PayPal saying that jarhead has disputed (which you can’t do with a F&F transaction) so you owe him his money back.
If I’m not mistaken, you can go to the same transaction on PayPal and return funds. That keeps him from getting paid twice and the money goes back where it was charged. So, if a scam, no one makes out....
You owe the money as he has paid you! You also know he’s who he says he is as, Al checked his ID. So we know he’s not a Nigerian Prince....
I’m sure I’d sound like a madman, after trying to explain this deal to someone!
I checked that out; that's a pretty nice shotgun. if this deals falls though for some reason, I can have funds and a copy of FFL to you in 10 minutes or less
400.00 correct?
Then send funds to Jarhead and have 284 send you the gun. Done and done and everybody gets what they want...

I don't understand how anyone could place any blame on 284 whatsoever.
-the buyer filed a refund claim with PayPal, or the credit card he used for the PayPal payment. -PayPal confirmed this with Seller and says it can take 30 DAYS TO CLEAR. -that right there put everything on hold until the refund claim processes in 30 days. Plus it sounds like a classic scam that PayPal confirmed was going around.
At this point it shouldn't matter if 284 receives a valid FFL or not inside this 30 day window. No way should he ship a damn thing until he knows he isn't going to lose that $400. Sorry 284, but you were lucky you were alerted to the PayPal refund claim. Had you not, you'd be out your gun no doubt about it.

Where do hunt Oryx?
In the Oryx field?..............Duh.......
You mean the Oryx fields that don't have any cell towers. Oryx hate those. All you gotta do is check Wikipedia!

Can’t file a refund with PayPal for a friends and family gift. There is no protection for a buyer, if they send it F&F and is why I’ll always pay the 3%. So, can’t say I believe 284 from the get go! So, something is fishy with the whole thing. Jarhead seems to be an immigrant and may have not worded things correctly (or a drunk) But either way 284 called the second FFL that did check Jarheads ID and he’s obviously not a Nigerian prince, pulling a scam.
Problem I have with 284 is him starting with zero proof this is a scam and talking about “if in 30days I don’t have to give this money back to Jarhead, I’m gonna donate it” who the [bleep] is he to donate someone else’s money?
Nobody checked his ID. He was identified as a nut and they declined to have anything to do with the transfer. PayPal has told me that this can be disputed. All I know is what they told me. Ken has been evasive and deceptive from the get go. Everything still screams scam. According to PayPal it could be a stolen card, which is why they advised waiting 30 days. If he’s a scammer, why reward him? I’ve been trying to ship this gun for nearly two weeks, and he’s going out of his way to stall this process. I have the money and the gun. I’m not a crook, so I don’t want both. I’ll either ship the gun, or if he still refuses to cooperate and act like a scammer, I’ll donate it. End of story.
Even if $$ was sent friends and family and was paid using a credit/debit card linked to the PayPal account, a fraud/stolen card claim could’ve been filed with the card issuer to recover funds that way.
I would definitely be suspicious of all this. This is a relatively easy task that has been over complicated to the extent it has stay away wrote all over it.
thats Funny! I accidentally sent funds to the wrong email when sending money to a friend and when I called PayPal, they told me that I would have to email the person and try to work it out with that person. This was just 2 months ago.
Jarhead,
You’ll have to do what I did! Call your CC company and tell them you was scammed online and PayPal wouldn’t help. They’ll refund your money and you’ll be done with this BS
This dude obviously gonna steal your money with the comment, he’ll take my gun or I’ll donate his money. So call your CC company in a hurry. You can screenshot his responses and how he’s not going to refund you but “donate” your money, they’ll help you...
Boonechaser, I’m not stealing anything. I’m waiting for the guy to get me a legitimate FFL. All he does is lie and evade. He’s fishy as heck. If PayPal thinks it’s a scam, why should I doubt them. All these comments and he still can’t come up with a valid FFL that will deal with him.
284, why would you ship the gun if PayPal told you to wait 30 days? No way would I ship this gun until that time passed even if I did have an valid ffl. Something is definitely fishy with all this. But I can't stop reading this thread. Please keep us posted.

Why would you say you might end up keeping his money and donating it? I was under the belief you were waiting for the refund to happen or not. If it happened, then buyer gets his money back and you keep the rifle and you're done. If the refund case is closed and you are assured of keeping the $400, why wouldn't you then send the $$ back if he didn't provide an FFL?
Or is it like a punishment to a scammer that finally got caught, and youre donating it to "charity" as a way to cleanse yourself for not returning the cash?
Thats a tough one to know for sure. I have no love of scammers but you'd have to know for sure he was one to not return the cash. Im not sure thats truly knowable. But if it was...that would be awesome for a scammer to finally lose some money for a change.

I solved the mystery with this post right here.
He is a DEMOCRAT !!
I blocked him so I would never try to buy anything from him but you quoting, I can see what he said.
Jarhead give him a FFL and he went there in person and tried to explain what was happening. It seems to me that Jarhead’s first language is not English so in the process of trying to explain his story sounded [bleep] up. So then 284 calls said FFL and speaks proper English and somehow now the FFL doesn’t want to get involved.
So 1) technically Jarhead has supplied 2 FFL dealers and 1 is out of office after shot show and other is convinced both these guys are idiots and doesn’t want involved. 2) a scammer wouldn’t stay this invested and try twice with a FFL dealer to get his gun that he paid for and also go to an FFL in person that would obviously need his true identity to transfer the gun 3) 284 says he’s either going to take the gun or after 30days he’s “donating” the buyers money.
Sounds like a lot of miscommunication and BS but facts we know points to Jarhead being legit and has bought on this forum before. (Verified by third party in this thread) and the other guy says he’s going to keep his money.
So you believe everything Jarhead says. Why is that? The texts I provided clearly show that he does nothing but lie. You’ve done a masterful job of twisting everything here. Never mind I have an excellent reputation here of selling multiple guns.
You’re like the gullible guy who thinks the street hustler is legit because you beat him the first go round.

The point is this:
If you do ANYTHING with funds you received in payment for a item (without sending the item) then you should return the funds. If not, you are the crook 284BLR. The money you received (when finally cleared by PP) belongs to you once you have delivered the item bought. If you are not delivering the item bought..... the funds go back to Jarhead....end of discussion. It is NOT yours to donate, invest, or anything else. So quit your crowing about it. Wait your time period you posted and then either deliver the shotgun to Jarhead's FFL or send his money back.
I don't have either one of you on ignore, I will follow the thread till it is settled and then decide.
Ok if they didn’t want to send one I will go in the morning to another I did say that you thought was was foreign so that’s true I never stopped a paypal stop payment again I did not so I will go tommorow and do another and I won’t say what you called me and jct did check my Id
Paypal could of never confirmed stop payment because I didn’t so he is lying there it says on the website to try to work it out with seller the rest of it I wouldn’t know how never stopped one
I am going to try by the wsmr it’s offrange so anywhere they are all over now I am probably going to try by Bingham I have hunted my lies there before I hear the meat is the best

Attempt to clear up Jarheads typing:
Ok, 284-sorry they refused to be a receiving dealer for my purchase by stating they won't give you a copy of their ffl. I did tell them my story, guess I shouldn't have vented to them!!!!
Tomorrow morning I will try and find another receiving ffl so we can complete the transaction.
I did tell the second FFL that you thought I was a foreigner, due to my lack of ability to write legibly, clearly and coherently. OOPS
284 and readers of this, I DIDN'T STOP PAYPAL PAYMENT, again, I did not stop payment.....
I will , again, go find another dealer tomorrow to receive this shotgun, and I WON'T TELL THE DEALER ALL THE PROBLEMS I AM HAVING GETTING THIS DONE.....I need to calmly find another ffl, let them do their job, and get you to ship the shotgun to them. HONEST, I DIDN'T FILE A CLAIM WITH PAYPAL
And BTW, JCT DID check my id, so that is proof I am who I say I am.
I am NOT SURE WHAT "SO THAT'S TRUE" means. Are you not fluent in English, Jarhead? And you really need to start ending sentences, make complete, understandable sentences, and that might help explain why so many think you are a Nigerian scammer. If you can't make complete sentences, you really should QUIT REPLYING HERE and start using the message on this website, or call 284 and finish this offline from this post.
I really don't think you are a scammer, but the looming statement by 284 that someone filed a complaint with Paypal is a big " changer" in how I see this playing out.
If I didn’t get service what’s so hard to understand I have completely honest I don’t understand how this guy can convince all you guys that I am in the wrong I will tell one thing that’s why this country is going to [bleep] because the democrats are doing the same thing trying to make everybody believe Trump is in the wrong and he is going to win in 2020 MAGA
Just trying to help both get this resolved. And interested in the process. Always learn from others problems.
I just recently had an issue getting the shipping ffl to communicate with MY receiving ffl, took a week due to mistakes and my patience not getting mad at the miscommunication on the shippers end.
hemiallen my only language is english. I went to high school and graduated. I joined the marines in 1983 , ten days after my eighteenth birthday I rode a ch-46 from Larnaca, Cypress to Beruit ,Lebenaon.
A lot of this is probably a misunderstanding but...
As for 284BLR donating the money, correct me if I'm wrong because I damn sure ain't going back and reading through this again, he said that he would donate it if PayPal told him they had sent jarhead a refund. Right or wrong?
If they do in fact send jarhead a refund I don't blame 284 for not keeping the money, that would make him a crook also. The other thing is, I understand 284 wanting to send it to the NRA or an outfit like that but that isn't the correct thing to do. The money should go to PayPal or the credit card company, whichever refunded jarheads money to him. It kills my soul to say that because I don't like PayPal for being antigun and I despise all credit card companies and consider them as just legalized thieves. However in a case like this the refunding company is the one that would have been scammed.
Then walk into a valid FFL business and calmly ask them to receive a shotgun for you. Give them the seller's contact information and ask them to provide him with their FFL copy. Don't talk about anything else. When the gun arrives, fill out the 4473 honestly and pay them their transfer fee if approved.
284, when you get the FFL, send the shotgun. The risk of transferring a firearm to such a clearly unhinged individual will lie with the FFL that does so face-to-face. If you don't want to do this, send him back his money and sell the shotgun to one of the others here who have expressed interest.
Thanks to you both for an entertaining read but for the love of Pete that was painful.

As I understand it, this IS a paypal transfer, using Jarheads credit card. If you have done any paypal, you will see Paypal can either have your funds already in their account, or you can use a credit card, or bank account, I believe, to pay for the transfer. I believe this to be correct
IE, Paypal is the go-between for folks that don't have a credit card reader, storefront, etc to actually just use the credit card for payment

Yes, you are correct. My error. The reason for the fee is easier to recognize when I look at my own account, just didn't have my chit straight.
This is a major clusterfuck. Think I'll just step right out of it and just watch.
284 didn't answer my previous question, maybe he'll answer this one...
Can you (or have you) provide us something from PayPal stating the refund has been initiated? You gave screen shots of texts so it seems you dont mind providing docs.
If he has something, then it contradicts Jarhead and 284 needs to wait until that has been resolved before refunding $$ or shipping gun.

So, without reading the whole thread, when did the OP become the bad guy? Is it worth reading through?
I thought it was cut an dry in favor of the OP (himself proclaiming to be an FFL), but he refuses to say whether he has proof that PayPal has initiated a refund claim by Jarhead. All I can gather is that OP is sure of himself that Jarhead is a scammer and is not going to return the money no matter what as a means of punishing a would be scammer. But OP will ship the gun if he gets a valid FFL. That tells me he is not worried about a future refund, and his test of Jarhead being a scammer solely rests on Jarhead securing a valid FFL to ship to.
A&R firearms Inc,I went there about noon today, he sent it while I was there. I will wait out the thirty days or 60,whatever it takes to get my weapon or refund. I also text him the info.

Never in all my born days have I seen such a clusterfuck caused by a high and mighty newbie FFL as Mr. 284BLR. There were multiple ways he could have handled this but he chose poorly. From taking PayPal Friends and Family (which I have in the past, but will no more) to calling the inexperienced guy a scammer, well, it takes the biscuit. FYI, BATFE states there is no requirement for the receiving FFL to send a copy of their FFL to the selling FFL because there are several ways to verify same: either via EZ Check or by downloading a copy of all the FFL's in the area simply by providing your OWN FFL #. FYI, I am also an 07FFL/SOT, have been one for well over a decade and used to be the BATFE regulatory compliance guy at a major firearms manufacturer. I'm also in Law Enforcement, about to be an accredited Task Force officer with the BATFE to boot so I might just know what the fcuk I am talking about.
See this is the kind of bullshit that happens when people just text instead of CALLING and TALKING. I'm betting it would have taken less than 30 seconds for the high and mighty 284BLR to have explained to the crayon eating Jarhead about what he needed to do. Mr, 284 would likely have found out that the Marine went to his FFL and they told him that the seller had somehow conveyed he hadn't been paid for the item. Ergo, Jarhead, having definitively paid for it, was mightily pissed off. It also might have helped if 284BLR had told Jarhead up front that HE was the selling FFL using whatever his trade name was. The story about the PayPal refund somehow doesn't ring true at ALL. Which is why I NEVER use F&F these days unless it IS a friend or family because that money is GONE when it's sent.
Question is, does 284BLR now have a valid FFL in his hot sticky hand so that he can mail the Marine his shotgun when all this is washed out? Cuz I think that is what he has repeatedly said, no? Hey, 284BLR, you do you but I don't think you come out as righteous in any of this and if the Marine had been better at grammar, I think you might just be a turd in the story. Brother Jarhead, if you still need an FFL sent out to secure your shotgun, let me know. I'm up in Farmington but I'll make it happen. FYI, I used to live in Los Lunas, right off El Cerro Loop so I know right where you and your business is at and its clear you're no scammer, just not great at grammar. Semper Fi and thanks for your service.

Tag for later, but if this reads like the rest of this thread, I’m gonna have to rent car.

Same here but now you two are probably scammers, too...
I fully believe Jarhead is legit and not a scammer or he wouldn’t have stayed this vested in a $400 dollar deal.
284 saying he was keeping the money and donating it. No matter what, if it cleared, just didn’t sit well with me...
thats Funny!
Are you Jarhead's brother or something? You seem to be one of very few who believes him and calling 284 a scammer. I wouldn't send the gun either until the 30 days are over or he has a valid FFL to ship to.
Jim
There’s more than a few on this thread that believes Jarhead is not a scammer and I never said 284 was, but he’s not telling the whole story either.
He also said he was keeping the money and doing what he saw fit with it (donating it) it’s not his fcuking money to make that call. So, he is the bad guy in this story!
Jarhead needs some English courses but that’s it. He he’s supplied a number that goes back to a Ken Pena in NM that runs a carpet cleaning company, easily verifiable as a legit person. Addresses and secondary phone number for company matches.

Who’s high and mighty? Are you always this full of yourself, or is today just a special bragging day? Put the tape measure away because nobody is impressed.

More info on Mr Pena matching his address. All easily searched for verification. So, where’s 284’s proof he isn’t just holding Jarheads money and that he’s a scammer that has initiated a claim.
Boonechaser, if you’d read instead of just running your mouth, youd see in the texts that Ken says he contacted PayPal for a refund. After that I contacted PayPal, which informed me that this was likely a scam. They advised not to do anything for 30 days as charges could be reversed. I was told that the first step in filing a claim is to try to settle the dispute yourself. At that point, given Kens statement and what the PayPal cssr told me, he was in the early stages of a dispute, which is part of the reason PayPal advised to wait 30 days to do anything. All along, all I’ve wanted is to ship this guy the gun he bought, but he’s gone out of his way to make the process as difficult as possible.
Let’s start a poll. Are you in the jh camp or 284?
I’m going with 284. Reasons why are... first jh tells us he did friends and family then he shows an $11 pp fee.
Second jh is attempting a third ffl. 284 still after 2 weeks has no ffl too ship too.
Snap snap
PayPal will charge you a fee if you use a credit card instead of funds in your PayPal account or a linked bank account, even on friend and family. Probably why the transaction record JH shared shows the additional fee.

Besides PayPal not disputing friends and family, he stated he called PayPal and they said to work it out with you. So where you getting a dispute over the funds at? Unless I missed a post of text going through this 39 pages, you never posted a text where he said he disputed with PayPal, just that he called and they told him to work it out with you so.... where’s that text?

Again as stated above, if you send funds F&F and use a card, you pay their fees. If you send cash or funds from your account, there’s no fee.
He said he called his FFL and the shipping FFL said he wasn’t paid. So, I’m assuming that 284 convinced that he was a scammer with zero proof and claiming a dispute was happening, may have told them that he hadn’t received funds or someone at his company did. He’s obviously a rule breaker in accepting PayPal for a gun purchase and posting for sale items here and being a business.
PayPal said the next step was to review the transaction, where the charges could be reversed. This is where they gave me the tongue lashing for using f/f for a purchase, and she warned about a possible scam.
Exactly what? Did you see said text where Jarhead said he was disputing with PayPal? I sure didn’t and I’ve been through all the pain staking pages but could have missed a post...
So glad this has not yet been resolved. If I was to lose this daily dose of entertainment...I don't think I could bear it. I fear though, that it will soon come to an end.
Yes, Ken FINALLY had an FFL contact me today. I called PayPal this afternoon, and they reassured me that I’m protected. So with that, and given the fact that he’s clearly not fit to own a gun, I’ve refunded his money in full.

Bad grammar and being pissed over this ordeal doesn’t make someone unfit. But glad you finally realized you was wrong.
Lost me, when he proved he was legit with name, phone number and address but you continued to say “no matter the outcome, I’m donating HIS money”

Remember the number he posted for trish??? Did you call it and maybe leave a message?
I did, nobody called me back. Took him over a week to give me her number. The next number he gave me was disconnected one day, and a fax line the next time.

You stated at least three times in this post that after 30days, you was donating his money, even in original post. So I may have summarized but they was your words and not made up...
So he paid you for the gun, provided the FFL and you refunded his money instead of sending him the gun?
JH told his ffl not to send it he didnt want the gun anymore he was just trying to get his money now. Jh gave him a ffl. Trish, I've talked to her husband and now her. Hes trying to become a member here as we speak

Now that makes more sense beings in the text that 284 supplied, he said he just wanted his money back a few different times.

Still crappy 284 had the funds and wouldn't return them back and held gun and funds for length time he has. When the man said he wanted his money back it shoulda been sent back

Yet Jarhead told me they sent it and that I replied to their emails. The guy is a nut, I’m just glad it’s over.
My concern was that it was a scam after jar.heads odd behavior and PayPal’s warning about scams. I asked him if he had cold feet (it’s in the texts) but he said no.

Because you did say you would donate the money.......I am done here.

It will live in infamy. Someone needs to rescue this damn thing from the ashes in the back corner of the dumpster and post some good pics of something. Anything ...

The $11 pp fee is because he used a credit card to pay. 3% fee is only waived if paying with a bank account or a paypal balance via friends/family. If he didn't use a card, there wouldn't be a fee.

284 should have just refunded the PayPal once an issue came up and listed the shotgun for sale again. I’m not sure why anyone would want to deal with this nonsense over a $400 gun.
Hi I just got approved to be on this forum. I am Justin Fouch owner of Fouch Arms the ffl where it was brought to my attention that we were getting drug in mud! To clarify what happened on my end my wife was contacted by a man named Kenneth and he wanted a transfer he called my wife on her cell phone (not sure how he got the number) and not on our business line. Stating he wanted a transfer and he would get us the info, he sent info over and before it got sent he text back that he cancelled the order not to worry about it. And this evening after being notified about the situation by others on this forum I contacted him and he told me that he ordered another gun from a different dealer online and had the transfer done at another local gun shop, and he was just trying to get his money back! So think what you want about the transaction. I know my opinion and I’m gonna keep that to myself thanks have a wonderful day!

After all the spins and and twist in this goatfuqq. How do we know your not a sockpuppet.
Who’s high and mighty? Are you always this full of yourself, or is today just a special bragging day? Put the tape measure away because nobody is impressed.
Well dude, I'm smart enough to have run a business for many a long year without much drama and not buy and sell guns using PayPal. Hope they lock your account by the way, would be perfect justice if they did. FYI, you can get money transferred into and out of your account a whole lot simpler by using Zelle but hey, what do I know? I've only bought and sold several thousand guns with zero issues unlike you who can't even be bothered to call and talk to someone man to man before you slam them as a scammer. Yep, we're done here.

So it wasn’t a special occasion, you’re full of yourself all the time. Got it.
Jarhead started the mess by trying to back out of the deal. Jarhead completely left out the part about buying a different gun. Jarhead lied about the FFL's info being sent.... after he cancelled it. Jarhead has the personal number for the FFL's wife.
284 is purely here to sell. 284 posted this here for all to see in an attempt to smear jarhead. 284 seemed to dead set on selling the gun instead of providing a refund. 284 does not have the personal number of the FFL's wife.
And the story continues!
Prequel? sequel? hidden behind the scenes cuts, Who knows! This thread could magically turn up Jimmy Hoffa........

Schitt I forgot a treasury agent and a FBI wire fraud guy. Anyone got a actor and actress in mind. One of em gotta be a female to counterbalance out Traci in the plot.
Im tapped out. Need a fresh perspective. Open to suggestions.

I’m gonna go with Catherine Zeta Jones just to class up the joint. 😁
Turkish Verona clone with fancy wood and engraved receiver. Some have slightly humped receivers and some rounded H&R Excell Auto and Excell Auto 5 same gun mechanically.
Probably made by Sarsilmaz. Wonder if it has the reversible light and heavy sided piston???
Bunch of these turk shotguns all cross reference for parts on Numrich exactly the same except for cosmetics. And the parts they had were limited.
Was the reason I sold off my Excell Auto. Parts and having ta get em from turkey basically. Was a fast shooting gas/inertia gun though, never had a hiccup with it. But parts are an issue. JMO....
Better made American guns with waaaaaaaay better parts availability.

Damn....went to work and this [bleep] grew 7 pages. It's got more legs than a "where's flave" thread. Normally this is around the time somebody gets drunk and calls out Rick Bin then gets banned or Bristoe shows up and starts dropping links to stormfront and blabbing about the joos.
284, why did you find it necessary to demand a valid ffl and when you finally got one, you refunded jarheads money?
Jarhead, how did you get Trish's cell number and did she sound hot? I'm glad you finally got your money back. When this thread started I thought for sure you were a Nigerian prince but I was wrong. You were just trying to deal with an hard arse.

I wanted to make sure the gun was going to a valid FFL. That’s the responsible thing to do. I refunded his money because I think the guy is a basket case and probably unfit to have a gun. I didn’t know the whole time he refused to provide a valid FFL was because he changed his mind and bought another gun. All he had to do was be honest and cooperate.
Now that we're winding down, who in the thread should win the White Knight award for getting the most personally involved in something they weren't personally involved in?

Easily Boonechaser. That dude looked up everybody’s addresses, etc. but was the most clueless about the issues.
It will live in infamy. Someone needs to rescue this damn thing from the ashes in the back corner of the dumpster and post some good pics of something. Anything ...

And proved you was the dick in this transaction. Calling a man a Nigerian scammer when you could have easily done what I did to prove his ID. It was simple, (took me less than a minute on both of you) you should try it next time before you call out someone as a fraud, when he wasn’t. The fouch company is all you needed to ship the gun but chose to make it difficult and say you was going to keep and donate another mans money. You didn’t need anything from them to send the gun, they was easily looked up as a valid FFL and had a valid address. You chose to make this more difficult because your obviously a dumbass. Even with the poor grammar and English that jarhead used, you came out more ignorant, than him...

Holster your stupidity. All I tried to do was ship a gun. It took Jarhead over a week to even tell me who he was using as an FFL because he lied and bought another gun. It’s not my job to go full stalker and Google the buyer, it’s my job to ship the gun he bought. You have no room to call anyone ignorant when you say “you was the dick”. The problem with stupid people like yourself is that you don’t know that you’re stupid.

Sorry 284 but Bonecrusher is correct you do not need a copy of the FFL you only need to know that they are a bonafide FFL holdet. I've purchased several firearms on the internet and only gave them the name of my FFL holder and all was fine

Then why didn’t you ship the [bleep] gun to the supplied FFL? If that was your only job? Instead you chose to be DICK Tracy on the FFL and then to make assumptions, when you could have spent as much time (5 seconds) to look up the man you called a scammer and then decide you was going to keep his money?
Keep posting, you’re just adding to how retarded you are and proves how much you were, in the wrong.
Hell your so [bleep] ignorant your using memes that imply, I’ve threatened to whip your old ass. At least use something that relates at least as close as the relationship between your mom and dad...
I do it for piece of mind, and because it’s a good business practice. The main problem is that Jarhead wouldn’t even give me the name of the FFL because he bought another gun, didn’t want this one, but was too cowardly to tell me that.

Here you confirm he told you fouch arms and you try saying they’re weren’t legit but we all know you was lying then and now as they have confirmed they’re legit on this thread. Like I said, keep adding to you being a liar and in the wrong....
didn’t want this one, but was too cowardly to tell me that.
To add more to it before I go, this is a lie too! He told you he didn’t want to deal with you, in the text YOU supplied and you told him that if he had buyer remorse, he could sale it after he received it.
You are a ignorant inbred LIAR, hell you can’t even tell when someone is trolling you....

I'm amazed at how many classifieds campfire members there are - many have never made a post anywhere else since they've been here . 15 years for one i saw .
24hr has a good classified section Lots of quality stuff.
The AK Files has a really good one also.
Lots of forums have a min post count requirement to use their classifieds.
Lots of them also limit the number of classifieds they can post in a year without being a paying member, or require you to be a paying member to use the classifieds. I usually do a search of a seller on here to see if they're just a classifieds clown or if they actually contribute some.
Seen a Berreta AL 390 ST 26 inch barrel in really nice condition in a shop. Italian one , not the wally world ones they had in the 90,s. Got the owner down to 400 OTD on thursday from 499 And he said it rather quick. But i have also done alot of business with him over the years also. Missing the front bead, no biggie easy to replace Needs detailed disassembly and cleaning. Redo the stock, work some magic on that. got 1 gouge about 1/16th" deep about 3/8ths" oval shaped in the right forearm checkering . I can fix that somewhat. Bluing is in 90 95% No scratches aurprisingly.
Hitting a gunshow up in Paducah in the morning. Thinking if i dont find something at the gunshow, swing into that shop and offer 375 OTD.
Always seems like having a new dove gun each year is the trend. Only use the frigging things 2 weeks outta the year. Lol!!!
I have a great joke for you : two bulls standing on a hillside looking down a meadow at some young heffers - young bull says to the old bull - lets run down there and screw one of those heffers - old bull starts laughing his ass off . HAHAHAHHHAAAA dang that's a great ole joke .

It should be required reading for all new members who join the fire. Initiation of sorts.
All new sellers and buyers at least. Grandfathered for people that were members before the thread started. Kinda like a sticky thread orientation death by power point sorta thing. Online check the block link with quiz and test modules and schiit. Once completed you can buy and sell.

I have an axe for sale. It’s missing the head and the handle but I’ll ship you the space it used to occupy. Only $100 bucks. I’ll even donate the money to a worthy cause...
This one is winding down, but there's gonna be another one if I don't get my sheit shipped to me next week. I'm gonna give it one more week. A month is long enough to get something shipped 250 miles away.

It hasn't been a month yet, that's why I said I was waiting till the end of next week, that'll make right at a month. Last I heard was he'd ship it last Monday and give me confirmation.

Pity me then! Didn't intend to do it, didn't want to do it, but couldn't stop.
There were just enough teasers to keep me going. Someone mentioned going out to the garage to slam his pecker in the car door, and here I am on page 31....

What an epic thread! I read pages 1-17 and skipped to the end. Can someone fill me in on what has transpired from pages 18-26? Are we waiting for Jarhead7 to return from his trip and for his FFL to come through?
I would like to see a new subforum titled: Classifieds Callout.

Not going to help you cheat. If you want to know everything you'll have to read it all. There's far too much to summarize.

Even if not this exact same one, there is always one like it that pops up every now and then. Although this one was particularly entertaining with its varied plot twists and cast of colorful characters...
I've read through this entire thing . My take away is this:
Jarhead should have told the seller he was not interested anymore, and I think his favorite flavor is crayola
284 is a shift covered dick and seems like the type of guy who would have flamed Jarhead even if he had told him he simply didn't want it. Infact if he had just refunded the guys money at receipt of the text message all of this could have been avoided.
After learning Jarhad had the gun shop wife's cell number I thought for certain his real name was Jodie
After seeing a photo of gunshop wife...I changed my mind.
Gawd this makes me realize how good the Safariman threads were. Someone should pin the good ones.. -azz shot bear -Avalanche car sale -Trex rifle -Winny pre-64 .…...
-He had a rifle for sale chambered in a weird wildcat caliber like 450 something Tyranisaurous (sp?). Jarhead help me out on that spelling. Anyways there were many laughs about how he thought it was a great round, how he felt fine shooting it at dusk over way too many yards, etc. But maybe the latter was the ass shot bear thread, cant recall.
-I thought he had a pre-64 Winchester of some type and there was a misrepresentation of the rifle, or the stock and he got busted with before and after pics/descriptions. It brought out many members experiences both plus and minus.
Can't believe I actually saved some of the Safariman links and just found them. I think the Trex rifle was not for sale but just mentioned in one of the ass shot bear threads. Great stuff for when you are in the mood:

Oh ya...I remember those ones....he got his ass opened up wider than big stick does on a Friday night in lumber camp
Didn't safariman also sell a ruger 10-22 pistol, it wasn't as advertised and he didn't include the factory supplied bipod? And I believe he also was accused of deceptive FFL transaction(s)
And wasn't he involved in putting together a "youth benefit" gun that went south?
The OP recently says Jarhead purchased another gun, I must have missed that part being posted by Jarhead. Plus Jarhead finally got a receiving FFL to talk to the OP ( 284) and then 284 decides to just refund the money, before the Paypay dispute time period dispute time ( I believe)....
I know it is hard to say everything that transpired in words, here, but something Seems fishy to me in the whole Call-Out thread replies between the 2. All posts by others seem to vary in their accuracy, and benefit to the dispute ( just like this...)
A fine example of why not to post a call out thread VS handling it offline, like adults. OP never was out any funds, from what I can tell. It's not like Jarhead is an active buyer, and everyone needs to be aware of his possible troubles finding a receiving FFL. JMHO

Now that we're winding down, who in the thread should win the White Knight award for getting the most personally involved in something they weren't personally involved in?
Easily Boonechaser. That dude looked up everybody’s addresses, etc. but was the most clueless about the issues.

I had fallen a few pages behind but catching up today, this made me lol. I hope Jarhead comes back and wants to play in our reindeer games some more. Catbegone doesn’t have JH’s stamina.

Jarhead is off hunting Orynx or some wild critters.
When i was maybe 13 i got a ring made of onryx , not sure what part of the critter it came off of . Got drunk that night and gave it to a girl - we were 'going steady' then , one'st we weren't going steady she decided to keep the oryx ring .

How did he get her number? and I just read all this. He is in a service business like I am, he cleans carpets I install carpets and other floorings. When I have a job that takes more than one day I save the customer's number so I can call the next morning to let them know I'm on my way or running a little late. He had probably done work for her in the past and had her number saved, probably why he used them for the FFL in the first place.
