Long story. He purchased a 22-250 savage barrel I had for sale. He asks if I will loan him my gauge so he can headspace it properly. Sure no problem

Sometime after he got it He messages me and says it will only shoot 2-3” groups with his reloads and wants a refund. I have targets from this barrel and It shot excellent. After some back and forth And a number of expletives from him, I agree to a refund minus my shipping costs. Which honestly I was nervous about because I have no clue what he shot through this barrel.

He refuses the partial refund and demands a full refund, Which I tell him I can’t do. He says that he is going to keep my gauge and then proceeds to deliver more expletives. A while later he sells it on eBay and still has not returned my gauge. Seems to have some explosive anger issues. Screenshot below. As you can see he says “the barrel shoots great”

It’s no wonder he wants the the thread deleted. Talk about a backfire...

I bought some traps from the guy last year. They were advertised as new and never used and had supposedly only been waxed.

OK, for the sake of keeping it going: Yes Catbegonadless is a POS, and yes he did steal that gauge from Grouse08, BUT - in his defense - he really wanted it...

No way. He’s as honest as they come. See how he claimed the barrel shot great in the ebay ad? No one ever mentioned the distance the 2” - 3” groups were from. I’m inclined to believe they were 1,000 yard groups and the guy is squeaky clean.

Hey catbegone I do have a Savage 22-250 barrel I would sell if you would like to try another one. Or, if you don’t want it, can the buyer borrow your headspace gauge?
