The code-stamp on this barrel indicates 1969 production, and if any of you are old enough (like me) to remember 700s made in those days, the barrels were excellent. This one has been hunted so the blueing is a little worn, but my bore-scope indicates it wasn't shot much, and the bore is in excellent condition. The rear sight has been removed, but if anybody wants one I probably a spare in my rifle-sight tackle box.

Am asking $35 shipped, and will take personal or bank checks, money orders, cash or PayPal.

Weekend bump
John, is the front sight slotted for a BDL hood? Was a 1969 date coded barrel still button rifled, or had they switched over to hammer forging by then?
This one is not slotted for a BDL hood, perhaps because it came off an ADL rifle I bought for the action.

Would have to look it up to be sure, but as I recall Remington switched to hammer-forging in 1967.
Up for the Saturday evening shut-ins....
JB: Are you gonna sell that thing or do I have to come down there and start another build I don't need?
I do seem to recall you don't have a .30-06 anymore...but since when did need have anything to do with it?
You could always trade him the barrel for a case of Tumbleweed...
Now there's an idea!
Sunday evening.
Mule Deer,

Make it the subject of an article by using several bullets in it as a straight 30-06. Then have it Ackley Improved and shoot similar bullets to determine exactly what happened by AI'ing it. Then it will be famous( or infamous depending on results) and some rifle loony will pay top dollar for it since it was featured in a definitive article.!
