I just picked up a Remington model 1100 light 20 gauge at an estate sale. I’ve seen a lot 1100s but not one of these. Can anybody tell me anything about it. It has a dog jumping quail engraved on both sides and the pistol grip has a shield with RA in it. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
Had one years ago, darn nice guns.
Bought it for my son when he was getting started hunting.
As I recall the receiver is smaller and this the gun lighter.
I’ve had one for about 40 years. It has a scaled down receiver, unlike some other 20 gauge variations. Mine is the 28” Vent rib, mod choke version. I managed to pick up a 26” skeet barrel for a good price a few years ago.
My dad has one with a 21" vent rib barrel for hunting bunnies in the brush. Points like a dream and is fast.
Your new "LT" 20 is a later model with the receiver engraving and RA on the grip cap is recent production gun. I bought one for my 11 year old grandson to shoot clays after adding a 28 inch sporting clays barrel I bought on sale from Bass Pro Shop. I shoot 3/4 oz skeet loads from my Rem 870 and 20 gauge Beretta.....the LT 20 gauge would not eject the lighter weight skeet loads for my grandson. So I reload 7/8 oz loads for him.
You could used too carring the Rem 1100 "LT" 20 gauge real quick....a sleeper of a field gun.
They are just a small frame 1100, they built millions of em
Rightly so.
They're wonderful dove slayers
Bought an lt20 deer gun for the ol lady. She never shot it.
So away it went. Didnt want to deer hunt, said birds would be her thing. So got a cut down 870 special field w damn nice wood......and she didnt like it.
I gave up on her.
I keep lookin for an LT20 mag for me.

Small frame remingtons are sweet.
