I stumbled upon a CMSC RBL Launch 20 gauge with 28 inch barrels and double triggers.

Do any of you have any experience with one of these?

I am NOT a great shotgunner! But, I do enjoy them.

Thank you in advance.

I've got one but it has a single trigger. I love it. I also had an RBL in 16 gauge but I sent it down the road because I felt it was too heavy for an upland gun.

I've never had any issues with mine, although I've read that others have.

Good luck!
I owned one for a number of years. Shot it a lot. Never had an issue. Sent it on down the road when I decided I wanted to fund a new toy. You should enjoy it. They are nice guns.

I have had a 20G Launch Edition (single trigger, automatic opening straight grip, exhibition wood, color case hardened) for probably about 7 years now. Overall very nice quality, and at used pricing I would say it is an exceptional value for money. Here are some observations about my gun, the one you are looking at could of course differ:
Pros:
Gorgeous wood.
Exceptional case coloring, some of the best I've seen in real life (as opposed to pictures).
Very nice, traditional style luggage case.
Light, small, nice to carry.
Auto opener opens fast and easy.
No warning labels engraved into the gun. Big plus I think.
Cons:
The choke tubes tend to come loose very quickly, within 20 rounds you have to snug them down. The unique "friction" fit supplied tool (not toothed like on say a Browning or Beretta) and doesn't work very well.
Because of the automatic opener, it is hard to close. Kind of a mixed bag with the opener. I left it in because it was a very expensive option, and is unique at the price point of this gun when new.
It has a swamped rib, which has a clean and British look, but for me is harder to shoot well than my other S x S with a slightly raised rib. This is a personal problem.

I went back to the LGS yesterday to look at it again. It has 5 chokes, a felt lined hard-side travel case, and some accessories. No blemishes that I could see.

Is it worth $3000?

Yes if it checks all your boxes .
That's a lot of shotgun for that price. Go for it.

Just one suggestion: Offer them about 10% less than they are asking. You might not get it for that, but they could counteroffer less than the price on the ticket.
Really nice shotguns. I had one and sold it. It was too light overall and with not enough weight in the barrels for me, but unlike some, I like an upland gun to be 6.5 to 7 pounds. The RBL was beautiful and felt great at home. I just didn't shoot it well. If you do, go for it. They are really nice.

Think I paid $3500 for mine 8-10 years ago. One trigger, pistol grip, very nice wood, 20ga.

Thank you for your input.

I am now looking forward to shooting it. If nothing else, it sure looks pretty. It does have some funky chokes.

Thank you again,
Jim
