Just found this 1st year Browning Auto 5 Twenty and felt it would be perfect for my 9yos first gun. It had already been cut to 12.25" LOP. Unfortunate, but perfect for him. I think he will love it. He is my mini me, and always wants to match Dad, so now he can match my pre-war 16. The Twenty is full choke with a vent rib. My 16 is Mod and a solid rib.

He will love it, hope the 2 of you have many years hunting together. My uncle had one for ever and loved his.

Nice shotgun for sure, but I believe I would start a 9 year old with a gas gun.

Classic hunting shotguns. I have always liked Auto 5s with the round knob on the grip.

Have a gunsmith open up that full choke to light modified or improved cylinder.

He'll hit a lot more and have much more fun!
