And I’m a little disappointed. If any of y’all know the 590 and 590A1 have some differences. The 590A1 is suppose to ship with metal trigger guard and metal safety. Also the A1 ships with a heavy walled barrel. The 590A1 also has M590A1 engraved on the left side of the receiver.
The 590 ships with plastic trigger guard and safety with a normal profile barrel.
What I got with the 590A1 “retro” is plastic trigger guard and safety and the heavy walled barrel. Also no M590A1 engraved on the receiver.
I called Mossberg and they ran the serial # and sure enough it’s a 590 A1. The rep explained they make 4 different retrograde models so they use all plastic trigger guards and safety’s.
Just beware of this if your in the market for a Retro 590A1.
Good to know. How did it function? Shoot to POA?
I have not shot it yet, cycled some shells through it just fine. Holds 8+1 2 3/4 shells. Also has ghost ring sights. It’s really a cool looking shotgun with beautiful American walnut stock and pump. Also it has a bayonet lug!
Well that’s a little disappointing to hear. I wanted one.
