I gave my 12 ga. SBE II to my nephew. I mostly hunt upland birds and have a M2 20 ga. that I use most of the time. I also have a 12 ga. 26” Red Label, but am feeling the need for another 12 ga. auto loader for the few times a year that I hunt geese. I’ve been eyeing the Franchi Affinity, but haven’t had the opportunity to handle one yet. Anybody have/had one? I shoot left handed btw.

My lovely wife gifted me this week with a new-to-me Affinity Elite 3.5 for our anniversary. Haven't shot it yet though. I love the weight, and the trigger has just a little creep but has a nice light break. I shoot right handed, but mine came with reversible stock shims so I assume lefties could run one.
Mine has an oversized cocking handle and bolt release that kind of look out of place on it, but they work fine and I think they would definitely be a plus for gloved hands in cold weather.
If my health allows I am going to pick up a turkey choke and take mine turkey hunting this year. They seem like nice guns.
I've shot one for last 6-7 years. From light field loads to heavy 3" magnum loads it has always worked. With the shims I got it to fit me quite nicely. No complaints. Seems durable and dependable and I don't baby it.
The grip to trigger spacing or "feel" doesn't fit me or feel quite right. If it fits you, they are a good gun. The inertia system is in the forearm. May balance a bit differently than a Benelli.
I have an Affinity 3 in bottomland. Bought it for turkeys and coyotes but have shot it on the skeet field some. Mine has cycled the lightest dove loads all the way up to the heavy 3" magnum coyote and turkey loads without a hiccup. I don't think you'd be dissatisfied with it.
Not ever tried " modern" Franchi the thing that turns me off the most about them is the butt pad the shape of it would make it very difficult to change out to anything else or install a adjustable.
I use an Affinity 3 for waterfowl hunting. It’s usually dirtier than I’d like to admit, points like a finger and never gives me any trouble. If you don’t like it,I’ll take it.
I have 2 in 12 gauge and 1 in 20.
the one 12 and 20 are set up with red dots for turkey and predator and the old affinity is my duck / grouse / trap club loaner gun.
It gets cleaned two times a year... once after trap season just before ducks and after duck season.
The 12's never miss a beat from 3 inch duck load to light trap loads.
The only ding... the finish can rust if you don't oil right away after wet duty. Its not as das a remington 870 express. The fact of life that non-polished matte surfaces rust quicker because they give tooth to water.
