Been looking for an O/U for a while. While shooting clays last week I found out my buddy has one of these with about 50 rounds through it. I should be able to pick it up for around $1750, but I have no idea about them and there isn’t much online about them. Anyone here have any experience with them?
The basic Beretta boxlock has been around long enough to be proven. Like everyone else, Beretta changes model designations with mostly cosmetic "upgrades" at intervals.

Always pattern test, looking for convergence issues, before buying.
I would skip over it as the early 690 series gave trouble. Jury is still out in the 694, which corrected some forearm design a d material shortfalls (a “self adjusting” design made of pot metal, it eliminated a lot of hand fitting). The 68_ series is superb, has stood the test of time and tournament shooters.
I agree with GF1, if given the option, I would go 68_ series
