I just picked up this very cool lil H&R hammered double shotgun reciever and stock ,the rings on the reciever face would tell me it is a 28 ga. it has a pat. date of Feb. 27 1900 a very nice grained walnut stock and some awesome and very sharp hand checkering and Im not having much luck identifying what this lil double gun is and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to seek this information.
Maybe Harrington & Richeredson !!! They have been making guns along time!!
I contacted H&R today and the told me this neet lil gun is called H&R small bore double barrel hammer gun and I guess the collectors call them 1909s they were made from 1909-1919 and chambered in 20 ga.,28 ga. and 44 WCF and these were invented in belgium and H&R bought the tooling from the belgians to make these fine weapons.
Cool, nice to know..
I'm a 28 fan, any chance for photos?
